...integrated comfort with HIVE yet?
My Heatmiser system died today and I needed something fast so I went with the HIVE heating controller as my system is maintained by British Gas.   It seems pretty cool so far as also links to Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa as well. More the point "the wife" understands how to work this one! :D
But has anyone got it working with Comfort so far?
I read this system has a million user base so hopefully a few are Comfort Users too.
I can use IFTTT if necessary but already missing my UCM/Heatmiser integration especially as I was one of the early "Guinea Pigs"!  :(
Regards
Julian

Perhaps this can be linked to the UCM/Pi if there are so many users. I have not heard of this "Hive"

If its zigbee it should be able to link in with Samsung smart hub, (I dont think it will be compatable with the PI UCM due to the RF freuency, however I am not sure about this so it maybe a wait an see job).

As far as i understand it though “not all zigbee are created equal” and thus they cant necessarily talk to eachother like Zwave can do which is a shame. 🙁

I have connected up to IFTTT though. It’s a shame Comfort arent listed on here BTW!

I did mention in another forum if they would be making a UCM that would be compatable with Zigbee but they said the demand was not there for it which is a shame. Zigbee make a useful retrofit when its not pratical to run cables ect. I was viewing Zigbee as a potential replacement to X10 which is pretty much dead these days and zigbee has the ability to report back condition ect, If it has a million + user base they may need to rethink a zigbee UCM.

I doubt that they allow 3rd party zigbee devices to control them even if they use zigbee

The UCM/Pi currently being worked on between ourselves (AlphaWerk) and Cytech utilises node-red as the core logic engine.

I personally use the Honeywell Evohome which is a competing system to Hive and this is fully supported, with discrete control of each room in the house as well as the stored hot water.

Having a quick look, and without being able to test, there does appear to have been some work done to support Hive - https://github.com/aklambeth/node-red-contrib-hive.

This should allow the heating to be controller by the UCM and link the alarm and the heating together.

Thanks,

Matt
