Hi,
We bought and setup the original comfort system in 2004. We then upgraded in 2015.
We needed to reprogram some light timings and couldn't connect via the UCM/ETH03. We tried to reset it using sw1 and sw2 on the sub-module but nothing is happening. Many other lights on the UCM and ETH03 are on, but the lights on the RJ45 port don't light up at all. The D2 light also never switches on.
Here is a quick short 15sec video showing the startup of the card. Any help much appreciated.

Some stills:

Possibly this could have been due to a storm we had that knocked out a couple of other electrical items. The other things in the Comfort system seem to be working on though.

I cannot see the video even after allowing Adobe flashbut it looks like ETH03 is damaged. Replacing it may fix the problem procvided UCM baseboard is OK. Check that D9 and D10 are blinking

No leds on ETH03 means it does not look good. You need a new ETH03 at least.UCM baseboard leds are working corrrectly, but we cant tell if the data in and out of the ETH03 would be OK with a new ETH03 (in case the damage extends into the Data pins on the connector

So if you are on e same network with comfigurator connected and you go to settings and the local network
Start up the Eth02 or 03 sub program there is a self discovery - it should find the Eth module straight away ( or not as there are no LED's flashing !)
Also there are a number of smartphone apps that will scan your network for IP addresses which again will tell you what you have on your network (it may be that the Eth module was set to a fixed IP out of the range of your current network !)

I put the ETh02 onto the ETH03's base UCM and was able to get things to happen - atleast was able to set the correct time (yes I guess I could have done it via keypad) and reload one of our files into the comfort system. Thx for all your help!
It is important to note some changes need to be made to the ETH02's setting (like TCP instead of UDP and setting baud rate to 9xxx) - this got things moving. It's an unstable connection but the job got done for now
