Using Comfort as a KNX interface or indeed using the KNX logic module, I think that moving forward it is going to be essential that Comfort becomes a recognised KNX partner.
Comfort need to part of the KNX project file device list.
When programming in KNX tracing the source of where things come from and go to is essential.
So taking a basic example of using Comfort (internet) time. Setting this up from the Comfort side is easy it simply requires a KNX group address to be input into event 33 and 34 of the KNX UCM schedule.
HOWEVER looking from the KNX ETS program side there is no way of telling that the Comfort telegram is being used (apart from ..... (1) monitoring the address (2) using a dummy KNX device (Ive called it Comfort alarm and got it grom the GIRA device list).

Yes it is the way to go in the long run, but as our product is a complicated non-KNX device it is not as easy as a simple light switch or actuator.

THE POINT BEING.......
As a KNX installer I would never contemplate using the Cytech KNX/Logic module....
BECAUSE its not part of the KNX ETS structure. To clarify If you are programming ETS things get very all over the place very quickly you really need multiple screens open. So in order to program a device such as a (KNX) logic module you would create group addresses that objects from the logic device. In this way there is some trace-ability as to what (and indeed how) a particular activity has been arrived at.

As a Cytech installer integrating with KNX yes..... BUT the problem here is that although its nice to be able to potentially program logic into a KNX system with out being the owner of the system (e.g. having control of the program) this will lead to all sorts of problems as not everything may be apparent or all that it seams from the Cytech side!

I think there is a good size market for the KNX logic module but currently you are not going to get sales from KNX installers all be it Cytech is more cost effective!
