We have a set up that allows us to monitor bus systems remotely.
I would like to be able to monitor the comfort bus remotely.
I realise that the log files don't report the events I'm after monitoring.

Q - can I set up a response so that a zone is monitored and every time the zone is open or closed a signal is sent out over the Eth03 UCM ( or other device route) so that it can be picked up and monitored by our software?
Q - - can I set comfort so that the bus is monitored ( thereby we can extract all/any event we like) so that a continuous signal is sent out over the Eth03 UCM ( or other device route) so that it can be picked up and monitored by our software?

You can add a Zone Response with action "Send RS232" select UCM ID as desitnation and enter any text  Tis will send your message to the UCM

You can use Bus Monitor.
Go to Tools Comfort Bus Monitor. This shows all the bus activity on the Rs485 bus on the UCM

OK
Q1 - so I have the output to the ethUCM - how do i 'send' this out what format does it take?
Q2 - I aware of the bus monitor I use it a lot - what i am trying to do is bull the actual data string out into a seperate program that can use the information. will the buss monitor data permanently transmit out through the UCM (it must do as i can run monitor remotely!)

send text action accepts hex or ASCII. You can send any text or data
