The CM9001 is a new version of Comfort which replaces CM9000.

The main differences are
  • New Switching Power Supply 90V to 264 VAC, 15 VDC @1.8Amps, lightweight, safety approved, more efficient woith overvoltage, overcuttrent protection
  • OP03 plug-in Output Board with 600 mA DC output limit
  • Able to plug in ETH03 submodule directly. No need for separate UCM for Cytech App
  • Zone End-of-line Shunts are removed. The EOL setting (No EOL or Double EOL) is programmed in Comfigurator 3.12.x and above. This removes the problem caused by oxidation of the shunts after many years causing loss of contact, or shunts falling out, causing “Zone Trouble” alarms.  Important – UCM Minimum firmware is 7.098 to allow setting of EOL.
  • Removed Local Telephone Control as this feature is not often used. Plug in new DSI Door Station Interface with Ringer allows Local Phone Control and Ringer for Door station.
  • Tamper Terminal with 3 pins to allow easy series connection of Tampers
  • LEM02B 8 input 0 output expansion can be plugged in on CM9001 without blocking connectors, switches, buttons, or LEDs
  • The X10 connector has been removed. X10 is no longer supported
Part Numbers
  • CM9001-ULT Comfort without enclosure without TT01-0022 switching power supply 90-264VAC 15VDC 1.8 A DC
  • EN01D Metal Enclosure 310 x 350 x 95 mm with TT01-0023  Switching power supply 90-264VAC 15VDC 1.8A Output
  • LEM02B Local Expansion Module 8 inputs no outputs, plug in to CM9001
  • DSI01 Door station Interface with Ringer and Local Telephone control for CM9001. Note that this is required for Local telephone to control Comfort.
  • ETH03 – plug in ethernet module for programming or Comfort apps
  • OP03 Output Driver submodule for CM9001

I guess it was inevitable that X10 would be removed at some time. Just hope my CM9000 never fails - I still use X10 very successfully! :) But I can accept that progress is inevitable, and it looks like a far better product for the future.

I have many de-commissioned comfort boards if ever yours fails.
