Thanks Slychiu
The board is indeed a CM9000, image attached
Right now the Comfigurator version being used is 2.1.0
It would be good to bring this system up to date. Here's the plan
-Replace the USM/RS232 with a new UCM6/ETH03. Primarily the concern there is that an old laptop with a USB to RS232 cable is being used and the laptop is running windows XP. The laptop integrity itself is a risk given its age so best to run Comfigurator on a modern Windows laptop over Wifi (through ETH03)
-Update Comfort firmware to latest (7.20?)
-Update UCM/CBUS to latest firmware
-The system also has a RIO but not sure if that requires any kind of firmware update?
-Update Comfigurator to latest version. The current version is 2.1.0 and using a CCL file and I believe this predates the CCLX files with later Comfigurator updates.
What challenges am I likely to face with above plan?
I think the Comfigurator update may be the biggest challenge from memory of having done an update years ago - but any advice, pointers, things to watch out for appreciated
