As the UK moves from analogue to digital phone lines I am looking at what functionality I need if I didn't have a phone line. Does the mobile app work in the background (Android) and so should the alarm sound I will get a notification on my phone, or does the app need to be loaded and logged in?
Cheers

The best solution if you do not have an analog phone line is the UCM/4G GSM  module see http://www.comfortforums.com/forum48/5420.html
This allows Comfort to dial out and send SMS when an alarm occurs, also to dial in and send SMS to control the security and automation.
The App does not have notifications at the moment./ If you get an sms or voixce cal you can log in and see the alarms. We are still looking at notification on the app

Unfortunately I have poor 4G reception so am exploring alternatives.
Push notifications from my Homeseer system may be the way forward.

If you have the R-PI installed you can use pushbullet to send you notifications for virtually anything, doors windows opening alarms ect. (Iphone blocked pushbullet so only available on Android now, but their should be other push notifications you can configure to do so)

I can do push notifications from Homeseer. I run a python script on the same PC as Homeseer that reads and writes Comfort and sends to Homeseer via MQTT.It feels as though having push notifications in the Comfort app would be better way to do it, cut out the middle man!It would be icing on the cake if the Comfort app would also allow communication with the door stations :-)
