I recently noticed my KP04A was offering an upgrade from v7.014 to v7.015 so I ran the upgrade.
It starts with the "Upgrading Firmware" dialog but then I get a "Firmware Upgrade Timed Out - Continue from Last Address" pop up.
Clicking "Yes" on this just repeats the failure.
The keypad is now reporting "Upgrading Mode" and flashing some red lights. I can't seem to do anything to unstick it.
How can I fix this?
Cheers,
Keith

Can yiu switch off the power to the keypad and try again? If it does not work it may be due to the failure of the CPU. what is the serial number, C followed by 6 digits on the KP04 PCB visible when you opn the keypad

After power cycling the keypad, I get the message:

WRONG TEXT
PUSH *1 TOGETHER

Pressing the * and 1 key together does nothing.

Serial number appears to be C100365

Cheers,

Keith

OK so you did the firmware upgrade for the keypad which failed. The keypad shouldstill be working on the prevous firnmware
But now you have WRONG TEXT = PUSH *1 TOGETHER
This means the Comfort vocabulary has been lost which is a different issue from the keypad.  if you sign in on the keypad there should be no voice menu.
To Upgrade the vocabulary go to Transfer > Vocab Upgrade, follow instructions here http://www.comfortforums.com/forum76/1623.html

This seems to go OK, but then fails at the end of the Sentence Upgrade with the message:

"LCD Upgrade encountered errors. Please try LCD Upgrade again"

This may be a bug which was fixed in Firmware 8.013. Please check http://www.comfortforums.com/forum79/5515.html and upgrade your comfort firmware to the latest

Sorry for the delayed response.

I upgraded to 8.013 and I can now do the vocab/sentence upgrade, and that seems to go OK.

But after I reset, the keypad still shows "WRONG TEXT = PUSH *1 TOGETHER"

If I log into the keypad, it seems to work and the audio prompts are correct.

Do a sentence upgrade in transfer menu, not a full vocab upgrade

Can you try power off and on. ?
If you still have the same problem go to Tools, Bus Monitor, when the bus monitor aperas press START, then press  F and 0 on then  keypad, then *1 together on the keypad to sync text. Save the bus monitor text I think it saves save all and send the text fle to support@ctech.biz
