Hello,

I have a Comfort Ultra system together with a SEM2. My firmware is not flash upgradable. Also on the SEM2 there is an old-style firmware chip (needs to be extracted for replacement). As i want to upgrade my system to the latest flashable firmware i have these questions:

- When i buy a SEM2-M2 at this moment, does it contain a flash upgradable firmware? Or do i need to purchase a MPU-LEM also?

- I have a UCM/ETH with some 4.x firmware. According to the manual of the flash upgrades this UCM is usable for flashing firmware, but need a higher firmware. Is this firmware for sale?

- do i need a UCM05 for vocab download or does the UCM/ETH also make this possible? Also can i upgrade a UCM05 firmware with my current UCM/ETH?

Thanks in advance,

Frans
To answer your questions

SEM01-M2 will come with flashable firmware, All new Comfort, Slave and UCM will come with Flashable firmware

UCM/Ethernet with firmware 4.xxx is Comfort I and is not able to do the flashing
You need a new UCM05 for that. The ETH01 can be plugged on this so can be reused

The answer to your 3rd question is that you need the new UCM05 to do the vocabn download

You did not say if your Comfort Ultra is version 1 or II. If it is Comfort I you can upgrade to Comfort II using the upgrade package just announced in News
Thanks for your info! I already have a Ultra II upgraded to 5.054 (also a separate board)

I see the firmware version of my UCM/ETH = 5.92. Is that one upgradable so i can flash firmware?

Thanks in advance,

Frans
UCM 5.92 was the last nonflash UCM (UCM01) see http://www.comfortforums.com/reply.php?topic_id=1411

See a picture of the UCM05 here https://www.cytech.biz/Default.aspx?cmd=ID%2ftW5Xw2bTCO626ZAAInw%3d%3d&productid=126&categoryid=9&pageindex=

This UCM01 cannot be upgraded to UCM05 as it is a different product
