I don\'t know how I did it but I suddenly cannot login to my system anymore. From Comfigurator I get a UCM not responding message and on the IO Monitor window I get 3 login retry failures.

Events leading up to this were small changes to my configuration file. I tried several UCM/s but it looks like the System doesn\'t want to log me in via the UCM. I can still login to the system from the keypad. I also deleted all mailboxes and users to reset everything to default - still no luck.

Any ideas?

are you using UCM/USB? it could be the PC not detecting the USB driver
Try exiting from Comfiugrator and run again gfo to Options > Connections to set it up

Are the two leds D9 and D10 on the UCM blinking showing correct two way communications?

Check the ID shunts and no of UCms settings
I used both a UCM/Ethernet and RS232. A sniffer trace showed me tha tthe correct LI command is going out on the wire but it seems the system doesn\'t want to accept it.

Strangely, D9 does not blink at all, only D10. The configuration downloaded stated 2 UCM\'s but I only have one connected at the moment so there is no ID clash of any sorts.
If D9 (red led) does not blink it means the UCM is not being polled because of its id
This could be because the ID shunt is not correctly set, or has fallen off. Or the shunt is not producing a short. Try changing the shunts physically

Or check that Location 1672 (No of UCMs) is 1 or 2 accordingly
Thank you VERY much, that was a life saver...

The value somehow changed to 0. It must have been me \'fiddling\' with the config file and once downloaded I couldn\'t get back in again.
