Comfort Automation/ Security System Forums

I am sure i am missing something obvious here but am getting nowhere trying to sort out what i am sure is something simple and obvious once you know how to do it.

I have recently got to grips with C-Bus programming and now want to program Comfort to operate various C-Bus controlled lights. I have set up an appropriate response to operate via the C-Bus UCM but despite several hours of looking at all the Comfort help I can find, here in the forums and on the web, I cannot work out how to assign this response to a particular arming mode (eg Night and Away).

Can anyone please explain how this is done.

Go to Events > Miscellaneuous Events
These refer to events that trigger Responses

You will find

• Security Off Response
• Away Mode Response
• Night Mode Response
• Day Mode Response

Assign your Responses to control CBus to the appropriate security modes here

I was trying to find a way to fire a response to arming and spotted this thread.

But just to check, those miscellaneous events strike me as only applying when in fully armed mode. e.g. Now in Night mode or away mode as opposed to the process of arming to night or away.

Do these miscellaneous events support the arming process or only the final armed process ?

The Security Mode responses operate at the instant  when Comfort is armed to these modes.
There is another in Misc Events \"Start Arming Response \" which activates when you start to arm to any mode. You can add an action to check what the  Security mode is in the Response

When arming to for example Night mode... during this inbetween state (not quite disarmed and not quite Night mode), is there a state to check that it is being armed into Night mode ?

What I\'m trying to acheive is to switch on my landing lights when I\'m arming to Night mode. I can program this into the \'Start Arming Response\', but want to ensure it happens immediatly (i.e. when in the process of arming) and only when arming to Night mode.

So is there a state check I can programmatically check for \'Night Mode\' vs. \'Arming to Night mode\' ?

The start arming response will immediately take effect when you press one of the arm buttons

So if your Start Arming Response is

If Security Mode = Night
then switch on landing lights
endif


This should turn on your landing ligjhts when you press the Night button and before it completes arming
