This problem has happened again today - KeyPad 1 Comms Failure at exactly 12.00 midday This is the third time I have this in a month.

The keypad hasn\'t moved or changed, there are no programs anywhere near 12 midday, and although a few minor changes have been made to the programming, not substantial and I don\'t see a pattern to it.

At the time it happened, I was in the office and had been for a while with no one else in the house. When it fails, the system is unresponsive, and certainly my CBUS link to Comfort no longer works neither. Looking at my homeseer logs, there were no triggers for around an hour before, and before that just PIR movement.

Is this a known issue ? It\'s a very severe \'crash\' when it happens and I can only resolve it by pulling the battery and mains power.
I\'ve looked at the Comfort logs - the last entry was at around 9.15am before the crash
I had crash like yours after a reset.
The only way to recover is by cutting battery and mains.
Are you with the latest firmware? In the changelog there is an update about internal watchdog. Maybe it helps you to automatically recover.
  • Start Watchdog earlier after reset so a disturbance due to a lightning surge is less likely to cause the system to hang with RED and Green Leds. Enabled watchdog before testing of U4 EEPROM and DSP so as to allow watchdog to work if system hang after lightning. Suspect when system hangs, and red and green leds are on, the eeprom test failed due to surge and dsp test also failed so watchdog did not work.
I\'m running 6.006
What happens when you press the Reset button on Comfort. Does that not restart it?
Is the battery installed, and wirking OK?
Was there any lightning activitiy or voltage surges ?
Can you upgrade to ULT 6.011 as suggested, as this starts the watchdog earlier in the reset cycle, see http://www.comfortforums.com/view_topic.php?id=2660&forum_id=79

Can\'t get to it, because some clever person at Cytech decided to mount the LEM03 holes over the top of that area on the motherboard so I cannot get to it.

Yes - nothing has changed with the power for a very long time

No
