Thanks
Is there a way to find out installers/plumbers that can retrofit this solution in the UK. I\'m in Berkshire and could do with someone quoting for this at some stage. Maybe I need to wait until I know what Comfort is going to support. I can also then build in some \"sexy\" support into my ComfortClient app.
Hey Chiu, advance warning for an evaluation UCM/HM! ; 0)

Yes we wll support al the models. The connection by RS485 is to all thermostats in parallel so the UH1 is probably the best place to connect the UCM. However the UCM will not \"need\" the UH1 as it seems to be a place to do the connections only
Hi slychiu
Yep UH1 will just be a connection point to UCM.

My plumbers was lost when i told him my stats are wired in Cat5, in the end me and my electrician wired it all up. It should be fairly easy to retrofit if you have standard s-plan heating wiring and you can get cat5 run to the stats. What is your setup at the moment.
Yes that\'s the trouble with heating IMHO, installers have their own preferred setup and aren\'t usually willing to install what the customer actually wants.
I have a current (I\'d say simple) s-plan Honeywell Smartfit setup at the moment connected to the old UCM/Smartfit. I don\'t dislike it but again I had to go with what the boiler installer was fitting at the time.
My house is completely cat5 wired with gigabit Ethernet switching and I run phones over cat5 too so know your pain. Even the BT guy goes white when he see\'s my comms centre!!
My UCM/Smartfit is currently next to the Smartfit base unit in my airing cupboard (next to hot water cylinder) so should be easy to upgrade when the time comes. It\'s is a small UCM enclosure I originally sourced from the old Comfort reseller in the UK (who\'s name shall not be mentioned...) and still hoping that one day Cytech (hint hint) will develop one of these single UCM enclosures for remote UCM siting!

Update: actually I have Y-Plan (tri-valve for heating/water) so I\'d need pipework changed too and thus a plumber/installer; doh why is nothing ever straightforward..!
Ah I can see now by the way that I was on the wrong heatmiser site. Was on the heatmisershop site.

I have a v2 system. I could upgrade a component to support this, but not the entire system.

We would welcome the chance to put together a proposal !
I have exactly the same set up as Dils.
UH1 connected to eight touchscreen V3 thermostats, mix of underfloor and radiators. Haven\'t \'invested\' in the Heatmiser control gear, so the system is standalone currently, but would be interested in connecting it to my Comfort system.
Echo those sentiments about the plumber / electrician\'s face when I told them the thermostats were wired in Cat5!
Happy to be involved in any testing you need too.

Thanks for the interest. We will let you know when it is ready for testng
