I have set one of my zones (outbuilding door) to \'Announce\' when it is opened. This is working fine on the keypads, but is it possible to have it announce using the speaker?

The speaker can only play the siren sounds. The voice circuits do not go to the speaker.
You can use a UCM with AUD01 audio plug in module connected to an external amp and speaker if you want to hear announcements like on a keypad. The UCM acts like a speaker for voice announcements
