I upgraded my UCM/Cbus to 7.041 without any issues. I then tried to upgrade to 7.042, the upgrade process goes all the way to where a rescan is done and the firmware remains 7.041 (tried a few times).
I am using Configurator 3.85, and I have bought and installed (while the UCM was off) the 24LC65 into the U2 socket (socket was empty).

Can you reset the Comfort and try the scan again
Comfort may be using the old value of the module in memory instead of querying the new UCM/CBus2
