Does anyone know what the fuse rating should be on the telephone protection board? A nearby lightning strike has resulted in blown fuses with charred semi-melted and charred casings and the rating cannot be read - and of course I never made a note of the ratings before the event!
Probably the worst storm in a few years and Comfort survived! I have 3 SEMs, one in another building via a 35m underground STP cable, and one external door station (at the gate) (also STP - about 40m). Almost everything is protected (other than KA/KB for which I haven\'t been able to source a protection device that passes the signal), but when a loud crack and a ping were followed about 30 seconds later by continuous beeping from the keypads, I thought that Comfort was probably fried! There was also no response to keypresses. But after the storm a system reset appeared to resolve everything - except that Comfort\'s date/time had been lost, and the fuses on the TPB01 had been blown.
Most of my neighbours\' have had some damage to various devices, while I\'ve got a pair of blown fuses! Am I lucky or do I simply have a good product!? (I suppose I do have more protoction than most.)
