Is it possible to program a zwave device to disarm the alarm state? - I see in the specs for zwave3 UCM it specifically calls out the ability to arm, but doesn\'t mention disarming...

The reason? - one of the main drivers for looking at zwave (I haven\'t got any yet, but I\'m seriously considering it) is to implement a smart front door lock that integrates into the overall system... so-called \"smart\" locks are quite popular here in Norway, but every one I\'ve seen for sale is a standalone product (e.g Yale Doorman et al) that has either codepad and/or fingerprint tech, and some have associated mobile apps). Nothing I\'ve seen off the shelf so far looks like it would be easy to integrate with Comfort, and that, frankly, rules it out of my consideration, and SWMBO had a major objection too, that being entering a PIN number to open the front door, then immediately having to enter another PIN on the keypad to disarm Comfort... (which would very likely be the same PIN number!)

I therefore suggested to SWMBO it should be possible to get a \"smart\" lock that can be the sole point of identity authentication, such that authenticating oneself at the front door could also serve to disarm Comfort.. this assumes that we are confident/satisfied in the level of security provided by the smart lock...

So I am wondering if a zwave doorlock can be used, which when opened will signal status to the zwave network, and consequently to Comfort... and that this can be taken as satisfactory authentication to disarm the alarm state...

There is no direct link to disarm from Zwave but you can map a Zwave node to a Counter and use the Counter response to disarm the system

By the way the Yale Digital Door Locks (DDL) by Assa Abloy have a \"2 way Home automation interface\" with a transceiver which can connected to a Universal UCM with Rs232.  This can send and receive the commands from the DDL door lock

Not sure if they have introduced the product internationally yet

Please note that Zwave locks may use  the Security Command Class which is not supported by the UCM/Zwave.

Thanks Chiu, that\'s good to know, I\'ll look into the Yale offerings once again then, although there doesn\'t appear to be the full range shown on the weblink available here...

I do in truth also have a requirement for an X10 replacement for a few locations where it is not practical or economic to get CBUS to... the odd table lamp here & there for instance, or some garden lights, so I think I will most likely get some zwave in for that anyway...

so.. any plans to add that support to the UCM any time in the future?

I guess I need to check the zwave lock specs *very* closely then... :-(

Hmm.. I just had a chat with Mark at Vesternet... he suggests: \"All locks, as far as I know use the security classes - which makes sense as they are locks\"...

Looks like, therefore, that a zwave lock is *not* going to integrate with Comfort in the way that I need... :-(  So I guess I should look in closer detail at that Yale HA interface... do you have a link directly to any documentation on that? - the earlier weblink is to Yale\'s main site, and I can\'t find any reference to the HA interface anywhere on the site...
