I\'m trying to upgrade an ULT 5.121 bur every time I plug in the smaller of the programming cable plugs on to my UCM USB (7.028) I lose bus comms.

it happens with other ucms as well.

any ideas?

You will definitely lose bus comms when you upgrade the comfort firmware by ucm programming cable
Once it is plugged in the comfort is in boot mode and cannot communicate on the bus.
The ucm is now controlling it
Go ahead and do the firmware upgrade
