I use a CQR Security SC570 G3 magnetic door sensor with my Comfort alarm system. Most of the time it works fine but in very cold weather it generates a zone trouble alert. As it is on the entry door this can stop me setting the alarm. The system still seems to be able to detect when the door is opened and closed even if there is a trouble alert happening.
The sensor is fairly advanced, it has built in configurable resistors for easy installation (you cut a couple of wires which correspond to the correct resistor values) and it has both a magnetic interference reed and a tamper switch to detect people trying to interfere with the system. Unfortunately the complexity is hampering me now as I suspect one of the anti-tamper devices doesn\'t like the cold and is causing the problem. If I just changed the jumper for that zone to NO EOL would it operate simply as an open/closed sensor without it taking into account any of the tamper stuff?
