The firmware 7.194 has this feature:
If IDBUTTON is pressed and held at reset, disable Responses This allows system to work even when there are responses with endless loop, ie Responses calling themselves, ir problems in the Startup Response.
Another method is to press and Hold the DLOAD Button in the UCM for 2 seconds which until the BUSY2 LED starts blinking. See http://www.comfortforums.com/forum4/3419.html
