On the UCM board D10 - Green is flickering rapidly and D9 - Red is flashing about twice a second.
I pressed the reset buton on the UCM and tried again.
When I click on Login in Comfigurator, I get \"Failed to connect to UCM - please check the UCM Connection Settings.\"
However, it does seem to connect as the Login changes to Logout and the port on CS Manager changes from idle to busy.
After reading through the UCM manual, I suspected that the configuration on the UCM EEPROM was wrong, so I used the Upload button to copy the Comfort U4 EEPROM to the UCM.
I then tried logging in and everything worked. I scanned for modules and it completed without an error, and I then wrote modules & settings to Comfort which also worked.
The only thing I\'m unsure of is that the UCM/ETH03 shows the Submodule Type as \"Unknown\". Is this correct?
I dont believe hat the contents of the UCM EEPROM affects the UCM operation. This is only for copyung the Comfort U4 EEPROM. By default the UCM eeprom is blank. I think you may have an inyermittenmt problem with the UCM or ETh03.

I meant the D11 and D12 LEDS. These indicate the comms between the UCM base and ETH03. While D9 and D10 indicate Comms on the RS485 bus. If youhave problems againm, check D11 and D12
OK, well it\'s been working fine ever since so I\'m happy! My PC can connect with Comfigurator to the ETH03 but the CS Manager still does not see it. However, on my laptop it sees it fine, so that is not your problem.
I could not find D11 or D12 LEDs on the base UCM, just 9 & 10. I did look very carefully to be sure. I have attached a photograph of the board.

Well, that explains why I couldn\'t see them!
Perhaps your PC has two, or more, network cards and CS manager uses the wrong one.
For me, using a PC with lots of VMware virtual interfaces, I can only get CS Manager to \'discover\' my Eth03 when I shut all the virtual interfaces.
Unfortunately there is no way to configure CS Manager to select a particular interface for communications with the Eth03.

I have this issue and so use an old laptop I hang onto for just such an instance!
You are correct, my main PC has two network interfaces. If I disable the second one, the CS Manager finds the ETH03 no problem.
