Have a system that could well be overloaded power wise but that is another story. Need to do local current test but guestimated motherboard load is 600ma

Comfort main panel powers a local SEM and the system then has another SEM housed in a garage with its own PSU and battery.

Occasionally the system reports low battery on slave 1

Need to double check slave jumpers but slave 1, I think, is the one local to comfort without a PSU/battery and Slave 2 the remote with battery and PSU.

Further investigation has found that the battey that was low is the one powering the comfort motherboard?

 

I can confirm on this system that the battery is being reported as Slave 1 but the problem is on Slave 2. Slave 2 has a battery and Slave 1 does not.

Also should the Battery Warning Controller message clear on a sign in? (Its not until a system reset. [Firmware 5.113]

Could the message in future indicate which node is having a problem?

Possibly this could all be better described / detailed somewhere?

Which battery is low? Garys original message said the Comfort motherboard?
If the SEM 1 is powered by Comfort, then low battery on Comfort may be reported as Slave 1 since they share the same battery

It is the one on the main board however if what you are saying is correct then this could be an issue as the SEM 1 may not be powered from the main board. Further as the SEM1 in this case has no PSU or battery local to it surely it should not be reporting anything anyway?

Not sure if this is related. Power up Comfort (FW 5.121) with battery disconnected and system reports \"battery warning main board\" as you would expect. However this message does not clear upon logon. Only after a reset.

I am slightly puzzled. If SEM1 is not powered from Comfort and has no PSU and Battery, how does it gets its power?

Once Comfort detects battery disconnected and gives a low battery alarm, it remains so until you do a Battery Test (F3,1). There is no need to do a reset

Could it be the low battery warning is because the SEM does not have a battery connected and not because of low battery? SEM 5.084 will give low battery warning when there is no battery connected

The SEM is powered from Comfort it is just that it could be powered from another slave etc.

Not sure on the SEM FW level but are you implying that it may be reporting battery low because there is not one locally and that later FW does not?
