Hi

I have a cytech system installed and yesterday i was making some tests, and suddenly the words that is shown on the keypad changed and now it doesn\'t make any sense.
I\'ve downloaded the vocab file again(.bin portuguese file) and downloaded it to the keypad (pressing *1) and nothing seems to work. The vocab file had been downloaded weeks/months ago and worked fine untill now.

The keypad KP04 has a 1.017 firmeware.

I\'ve seen a EEPROM inside the keypad, but it is 64kB. Can I reset the EEPROM using the one that is on the UCM/Eth that is 256kB?

Any other solution?

Did the vocab download work?

Did the *1 complete downloading?

What exactly is not working?

Yes, it worked fine..those downloads worked fine..

ohh..and I forgot to say, the SMS received are ok. The alarm zones anounced are correct.
The problem is just on the keypad. The correspondent words defined on the comfort and on the keypad are wrong. I think that is something about the sentence table on the keypad.

This may be a translation problem with the portuguese bin file which was made by another portuguese company

Is this the bin file that was originally in the Comfort? or is it a new file that was give to you
Have you use this bin file on other Comfort?

No, this wasn\'t the original. The file in cause had been downloaded over a year ago and it worked fine untill now.
I\'ve downloaded today a english bin file, and it was ok. Then, i\'ve downloaded the portuguese bin file again and it was still wrong. The difference now is that the mischanged words wasn\'t the same as before.

I\'ve alredy used this file in another 2 projects and they are both ok (as well as were this one untill yesterday).

can I change the EEPROM 64kB chip that is installed inside the keypad?

Yes you can change it with one from another KP04

But if the sentence Upgrade and *1 were successful then the result shoould be te same, it cannot be different

Hi ident

I\'ve changed the EEPROM form the keypad04 and downloaded the vocab and there is still a mistake about it.

I think there might be a bug on the new Comfigurator software (3.5.2 beta), because it was the only change that I\'ve done since the last time. I\'ve alredy uninstall it and install the 3.4 comfigurator but it didn\'t solve the problem.

Here is the vocab file file that I\'ve used and please take a look and test it to make sure if is this the problem.

I\'ve realized that issue after the reply. The attachment is on the previous post, diffined as \"Marta.zip\".

Today i\'ve changed the keypad04 for a keypad03, and the zone announcements are wrong too.
