Hi All,

I have been looking at heating controls for time now and I have been told about heat miser today.

Has anyone interfaced comfort with the Heat Miser wifi thermostat?

Best Regards

Lee

We will be working on a dedicated Heatmiser UCM as the next project

Hi Chiu
do you have a time scale on this?

- slychiu - 03-14-2013

It should take a few months for the devlopment, it needs a new Comfigurator as well

Do you have any further details

Will it work with v2 stats and Heatmiser UH1 wiring center.

Will it be a new UCM

What cables will i need from comfort to UH1

Will control be available via KT03, iPhone and Android app

Thanks

The engineers are still studying the requirements. Perhaps you can give some feedback

Do you want compatrtibility with v2? Are they only selling V3 now or v2 as well as v3

Is is necessary for Comfort to know about the UH1 wiring centre?

It will be a dedicated UCM and all comfort user interfaces, iphone, KT03 etc will be able to control and monitor the heatmiser products

Yes i would need v2 compatibility.

I believe they no longer sell v2 equipment only v3.

I guess Comfort will need to know about the UH1 as that is were the coms port is.

I can beta test it if you need tester

I have UH1 wiring center with 5*PRT-N v2, 1*PRT-EN v2, 1*PRTHW-N

V2 and v3 protocols are completely different so the same UCM would not support both. We can justify developing support for v3 but unfortunately not for v2 which is no longer produced by the manufacturer

The interface with by by RS485 or wifi so it would not be related to UH1

Maybe someone could explain what Heat Miser is as I looked at their website and still in the dark.

Are they doing underfloor heating only and/or central heating systems?

Their website has lots of pretty boxes but little text and no wiring/solutions guides.

ie could I replace my aging Smartfit solution with this in the UK?

...or are they as wikipedia suggests a 90\'s US Rock Band! :0)

Hi slychiu

Thanks for getting back i thought that would be the case v3 support only.

I don\'t mind upgrading the stats to v3 if comfort UCM provides full control.

Will you be supporting the 12v Network stats PRT-N, PRTHW-N, PRT-EN if so then these all connect back to the UH1

The UH1 also has a RS485 connections. All the 12v Network stats connect to the UH1 and 1 pair of the cat5 cable is for comms. I believe the UH1 is just acting as a junction box for the comms.

To juwi_uk

Heatmiser do a range of heating controls either standard 230v stats, 230v stats with WiFi or 12v network stats.

I currently have 12v network stats, running underfloor hearting on ground floor, radiators upstairs, and hot water. They also do central control for 12v which i dont have at the moment, using central touchpad or NetMonitor

They have a lot of documentation on their site under support > manuals
