UCM heatmiser
Do you have a release date for this product?
I do hope that the UCM Heatmiser will be a totally dedicated UCM.
This makes things so straightforward and it means that the UCM is identified (even by scanning) in the software.
Also it means that you have a dedicated set of responses and functions.
I think you should do this woth Lutron (the new QS which interacts with Homeworks and Grafiq eye) and RAKO and indeed any other UCM that currently is NOT DEDICATED.

The Heatmiser UCM is being tested with Comfigurator 3.7.3
We do not have a fixed release date, but once it is ready it will be announced as usual
It is a dedicated UCM
Dedicated UCMs like Heatmiser, Cbus, KNX, Zwave require a lot of development and time, so it is not feasible to develop dedicated UCMs for every interface that can be supported by the Universal UCM unless there is sufficient demand
The most important thing is 2 way interfaces for Lutron and Rako etc are possible with Comfort right now with the Universal UCM. If the usage of these imterfaces can reach the level where it can be economically justified then we may go the dedicated UCMs

This reminds me again about how cool it would be to have a Cytech matching enclosure that is designed to house just these dedicated ucms. Maybe narrower than current chassis but maybe allowing say up to 6 in the case; 3 base + 3 stacked say. So we can place one of these next to our current enclosure. Maybe time to refresh and create a new range of cool enclosures?

why not use the EN01 enclosure 310 x 350 x 95 mm which is smaller than EN03 (358 x 385 x 95 mm)
you can mount several UCMs in there

Hi All,
I have seen the Heatmiser UCM so it is on my buy list. Can you confirm how it will function?
My Wi-Fi Heatmiser thermostat has wake up, leave, return, and bed time setting. I would obviously want to override these setting if the alarm was in a one of the off, home or away mode. How would I code regular checks to compare alarm status and set temprature?
On the surface I think the important setting is away mode where I would want to keep the temp low. I cant see how this would be programmed.
The other event I can think of which is easier to programme is if I am in the house (I guess the thermostat would take care of itself on the whole), however, if we occupy the master bed or lounge for more than 15mins the alarm status changes to day mode so it will be nice to ensure the temp was right at this point.
When will the programme doc\'s be released?
Oh... if I need to expand my enclosures what it the cheapest way todo this.
Buy enclosure, psu, tamper switch and battery as seperate items or buy an expansion enclosure?

The UCM/Heatmiser will allows you to override the setpoints
You can do this in the Away Mode, Night Mode, Day Mode, Security Off Response
Look in Events > Misc Responses
We are currently writing the manuals
For your 2nd question, yiou can buy these separate if you need
The EN01 enclosure is smaller and is hinged with a lock and key

You have to order ETH or AUX485 depending on the heatmiser type that yu have

The UCM/Heatmiser comes without an interface - it can be AUX485 or ETH depending on the heatmiser
The UCMHeatmiser with AUX 485 can be ordered now
The parts are ready but the firmware is still being tested which will take 1 month
The new Comfigurator 3.7.x is also needed which will be released around that time
If you need to install, you can order and upgrade the firmware next month
The ETH interface is also a special which is not ready yet, also may take one month
