An old (2003) PIR was giving false alarms.  Replaced with a Bosch Blue Line Gen2 Quad PIR. Wired as follows Red to plus, Black to minus, Blue to NC, White to T, resistor across the blue and white termination, second resistor across the empty NC to T.  (This is following the wiring of the original PIR and more or less the Bosch instructions).  Comfort was reset.  The PIR recognizes movement via the LED.  Comfort does not recognize it, no error in the log. No movement is reported on Control Panel test.  Should Comfort recognize this model PIR?   Can you suggest anything?

Any 12V PIR will work with Comfort. I believe the wiring is wrong. I dont know what the colour codes are on this PIR. If you have the installation ma ual of th PIR I can advise on the correct connection

I have rewired the PIR several times. An info sheet is attached along with a link to a Youtube video. The power supply seem good. I have a blue wire to NC, a white wire to T and a resistor from the second NC to the second T. The resistor appears to be 4 Ohms 2% (from a color table). I have tried a second resistor from blue wire to white wire (as was in the original wiring). After wiring change I reset the system. With the current wiring, movement is detected, but \"Zone trouble\" is reported both on the keypad in the security menu and by phone if the security menu is off. Connect the 2 NC terminals on the PIR to the Comfort zone terminals. I would leave out the T terminals for now until you get the basic connection working.

If your zone is set for Double EOL resistors, then connect 2K2 Resistor in series to the zone and 4K7 resistor across the zone ie across the NC terminals. Remove the 4 ohm resistor.
If the zone is set for NO EOL resistors, then dont connect any resistors. EOL settings are in the zone shunts on each zone if you have an older CM9000 with shunts on each zone, see http://www.comfortforums.com/forum127/3406.html

Do a walk test Keypad F,3,2. This will announce all open zones inclduing trouble zoneswhen the movement is detected the keypad should announce the zone name/number

Success! I connected to the 2 NC terminals.  I removed the resistor(2) and adjusted the JZ4 jumper on the CM9000 board to no EOL resistors. (At present the only resistors I have are the ones previously on the old PIR).  This is not working correctly on a Security walk around.  Thank you for the assistance, I am learning a lot.

You mean this is \"now\" working

Sorry, a typo in my last post. I thought I typed \"This is now working..\" not \"This is not working...\". Apologies! It is working correctly on the Security walk around.

For the last week the full system has worked well. Siren, faulty PIR replaced and sentence table all OK from last weekend.  The system was fully functional. Today, I set out to replace another old PIR (2003) and I have struck trouble.  The new PIR is a  Paradox 525DM. I followed the procedure on the last PIR replacement, 12V to the - and + terminals, alarm pair to NC and Common and then adjusted the JZ6 jumper to the no EOL resistor setting. Then I reset the board.  The problem:  The two keppads are now blank and unresponsive. I got a phone call from comfort advising \"Communication failure 75\" and some zone errors. Nothing in Comfort is working, door bell etc.  I now cannot get into Comfort either by the keypad, home phone, comfigurator or the mobile app. The green LED on the C9000 main board is flashing. I have tried the reset button to no avail. Is there anything I can do to recover?

Are you sure the announcement is Comminications Failure 75? ID65 is keypad #1. 75 is keypad  ID#11 which I suspect is not correct.I suspect that you have shorted the KA KB or 12V when you connected the PIR. disconnect the PIR and see if the system recovers. There should be a wiring problem

The New PIR is removed with the 4 wires well spaced. Comfort rang me with a Communications error 49. It then rang again with a \"siren sound\" in the phone. I cannot ring into comfort. I may have shorted the wires although I was being very careful.
