YES finally in conjunction with Control FX  http://www.controlfx.co.uk/ there is now a Cytech iPhone app available. Because of the nature of the bespoke iPhone app this is an installed product. There are a number of stages to go through in order to fully activate the application. Firstly it is phone specific so any phone will have to be registered (UDID free download software will provide the unique identifier). Once this is set up then the local LAN requires setting up (with either Ethernet or RS232 interface) then the comfort system requires programming updates (user 16 is set so that the iPhone can access information without the user having to put his or her personal code in every time). Then the Control FX software requires programming - this involves purchasing a licence and then the appropriate modules (encrypted software that can be added into the program).

So do not be misled into thinking that this is a free app it is not. However it does offer the much awaited front end to a Home automation system. And realistically it should be able to offer far more then other wireless remote controls at a reduced cost.

The app is still being beta tested - basically it takes several forms:

*Comort basic - allows remote arming dis-arming etc with feedback.

*Comfort + CBUS - basic model + CUS functions

*Comfort + KNX - basic model + KNX functions

*Comfort + Rako - basic model + CUS Rako

You get the picture... just then a case of prioritising.
