RE: Upgrade CM9000 to CM9001/A - Home - 06-15-2026 (06-14-2026, 04:37 PM)cc_uk Wrote: This weekend I swapped the CM9000 for the CM9001/A You dont say what version of comfig you are using - in my last recent post I have suggested that Comfig 4 should only be used on totally new installations. RE: Upgrade CM9000 to CM9001/A - cc_uk - 06-15-2026 Hi Thanks for your replies - I am using Comfigurator 4.0.4.0. I do have just the one SCS yes - the 8 button version. The temperature sensor is still being read properly by Comfort, so it is communicating, just the buttons and LEDs don't appear to work now. RE: Upgrade CM9000 to CM9001/A - slychiu - 06-16-2026 could the scs have become faulty since you changed the controller? RE: Upgrade CM9000 to CM9001/A - cc_uk - 06-16-2026 Anything is possible of course. So to help troubleshoot... Since I have not yet redeployed the CM9000 that the new CM9001/A replaced I set it up on the bench and connected 1 keypad and the 8 button SCS to it. On the CM9000 the buttons on the SCS work correctly, when I returned it to the CM9001/A it did not work - the temperature sensor did, but none of the buttons do and just flash red. What I did notice is that if I run the bus monitor - that worked on the CM9000 but on the CM9001/A I see no bus monitor output. I know the bus is working as the two KP04A keypads work, and it can read the temperature sensor on the SCS. I have a UCM connected via the 4 pin connector and that also works correctly. Therefore it seems as if either there is some problem with the bus on the CM9001/A resulting in the bus monitor generating no output, and/or the SCS doesn't work with it. RE: Upgrade CM9000 to CM9001/A - slychiu - 06-17-2026 If the keypad buttons work tehn the Comfort bus should be working. Check the bus monitor when yoiu press a keypad button, each keypad button should be displayed iN THE BUS monitor uncheck Filter Polls to see all the pollinmg and null reply, this will ensure that the keypad and scs on the bus are being polled RE: Upgrade CM9000 to CM9001/A - cc_uk - 06-17-2026 These are the results of my testing:- CM9000 on 8.030 firmware SCS works - both buttons & temperature sensor Keypads work Bus monitor works and shows SCS button presses and keypad button presses CM9001/A on 8.034 firmware SCS - temperature sensor works, but buttons do not - they generate no events in Comfort and a response to control the LEDs does not change the LED state Keypads work Bus monitor does not work - after starting no activity is displayed, yet bus is clearly working. Therefor for me, there also seems a problem with Bus monitor and the CM9001/A FW:8.034 8.030 isn't available for the CM9001/A so I tried with 8.031 - same result no output on Bus monitor and SCS buttons do not work Some extra information that might help with this - if the ETH03 module is installed directly onto the CM9001/A - bus monitor does not work, however if the ETH03 module is moved to an a separate UCM connected to the CM9001/A - bus monitor does work, and shows responses when the SCS buttons are pressed. I wanted to try an older firmware to see if this used to work, and ran into problems with that - I'll start a separate thread about that, rather than divert this one. RE: Upgrade CM9000 to CM9001/A - slychiu - 06-18-2026 The Bus Monitor only works when connected to a UCM. If the ETH03 is connectedto Comfort, themn Bus monitor does not work because there is no RS485 bus to monitor. So with the Bus monitor runin g on UCM/ETH03, it cvan detect SCVS button presses? Can you copy the mbus monitor output when you press buttons ? RE: Upgrade CM9000 to CM9001/A - cc_uk - 06-18-2026 Yes that is right - on the CM9001/A if the ETH03 is on the external UCM and I use bus monitor I see the SCS button presses, but the CM9001/A doesn't respond to them. I can share the output once I solve the firmware issue on the CM9001/A |
