Make sure they don\'t send you my old one then as that has a bug that doesn\'t report back the statuses correctly for multi-level modules (ie 2x1.5 fibraros for example)!
Make sure you get the latest firmware on it.

One thing I have found about the fibraro\'s is that these don\'t randomly switch on/off where my old ACT ones do all the time. In fact in my lounge where I have two large clusters of CFL\'s the ACT switches would sometime completely lockup such that I couldn\'t turn them off. For a while I removed the ACT switch from this location as it became such a pain. However since switching to the fibraro and a normal switch facing then not had a single lockup.

Hi All,
Well I got fed up of waiting for the remotec controller and decided to buy a veralite. I am led to believe this is one of the best z-wave controllers on the uk market.
Haveing setup vera it managed to detect and control the fibaro switches (as well as the danfoss stats) extreamly well.
Now I have introduced the z-wave ucm 3 into the network and it performs in the same way as the old aeon labs controller and detects the fibaro 2 gang switches as basic nodes.
Using the atest z-wave firmware I can\'t switch the fibaro on at all.

During UCM/Zwave learn, was the Fibaro device powered on then? All Z-Wave devices have to be on during learn process. Otherwise. \"Basic\"(by default) will be assigned to them.

I was not sure so I have removed UCM from network and then included with the fibaro devices switched on, they remain as basic nodes.

It looks like the problem may be that the Fibaro may be out of range at the time that the UCM/Zwave is doing the learning from the remote contool. If the UCM/Zwave cannot get a reply from the Zwave device, it will assign a basic node to it which is what you are seeing
Is the Zwave antenna securely connected to the UCM, and do you have the antenna outside the metal box? What is the distance between the UCM/Zwave and the fibaro?
Can you move the two nearer together to test if this is the problem?
Another solution to the range problem is to install another zwave device in between to take advantage of Zwave mesh network feature

Hi Ident,
The ucm antenna is outside the metal box and approx 2.5 meters from the fibaro device.
Just so that I am doing the right thing, i have a vera lite as the main controller and have included all my z-wave devices. This process was carried with a few cm distance between vera and the device.
The I have then put vera in to include mode and clicked learn button on the z-wave ucm tab in comfigurator, all node are switched on as suggested, but when the import is completed the nodes are detected as basic.
Does the UCM talk to vera and devices during the learn? should I try to included the fabiro relays directly to the ucm?
