- domotiks - 07-13-2009 Hello! We are trying to use a Comfort II Ultra Panel and a UCM/EIB Module as a powerful KNX logic functions module on a Konnex home automation system. So, our aim is not to use the Comfort panel as an alarm, only as a logic module and remote voice control. In this fact, Can we disconnect the keypad after programming and leave only the control panel and the EIB module working without having problems? Regards. - ident - 07-13-2009 You can disconnect the keypad and set \"Number of Keypads\" to 0. Comfort will work without a keypad, especially if there i no alarm If there is an alarm, then you should leave one keypad in the system, because it is battery backed up from Comfort and will work during a power failure. I believe an alarm is a very important function in most homes and it makes sense to include an alarm in the Comfort/KNX installation as it adds value to the propoerty - domotiks - 07-13-2009 Thanks a lot for your help. We don\'t need the alarm features because the system is aimed to be installed in an office, that has already installed an alarm system from another company (CMS). So, that\'s the reason why we won\'t use the panel with this alarm features. Despite this fact, we install the Comfort II panel (and no other logic functions KNX module) because it\'s possible to use these features on the future if the costumer desires them. Thank\'s a lot for your reply. Regards. |
