When disarming, the volume level is ignored and \"security off\" appears to be played back at a loud volume. Thereafter, all other functions are at the correct volume.

Volume for Announcements are not settable yet. I also hope there will be more development done in this area.

This can also be changed

There are two types of volume settings. The Volume slider on the KT03 settings page sets the volume of the individual KT03 voice menu

There is a common volume setting for announcements for all keypads. This is found in Configuration > Voice Settings > Keypad Voice level This affects all announcements, like Security Off, Night Mode and the arming beeps.

Reduce this volume by moving the slider to the left (smaller mumber) to reduce this announcement volume

Yes, this does work somewhat but wouldn\'t it be easier for just one Master volume control like on the other keypads? Setting the Voice level even down to 0 could still be too loud for some people, especially if the KT03 is in a bedroom.

The speaker can be turned off completely in the Volume Settings page so all announcements and voice wil be silent

Otherwise setting the common announcement volume can reduce the announcements level to a minimum volume

Having separate controls is useful because you may want the voice menu to be quiet  but announcements like security off may need ti be heard

Is it ? Could you elaborate please on why this is ?

I\'ve tried setting the volume in Configuration > Voice Settings > Keypad Voice level right down to 1, but it appears to make no difference to the volume of Security Off. Despite me setting it to 1, at 7am, it was still very loud and \'scared\' my 4 year old daughter (her words) !

Did you reset Comfort after changing the \"Keypad volume\" settings? You can reduce it down to 0
It will not be silent bit it definately is much softer. Certainly should not be loud enough to scare a 4 year old girl

- palmlodge - 12-14-2010

Yes, I reset Comfort.

Make sure it is Keypad Voice Level that you are changing., Try to change it to 0 and see if there is any difference in volume of Security off and announcements
Also listen on other keypads, do you hear the volume change>?
