- dubourg - 04-25-2011 Hi I have a Comfort II Ultra, version 5.145 with a DM02 door station module interfaced to a Videx audio keypad. When someone presses the door bell button whilst Comfort is in Away mode, Comfort correctly calls my mobile phone. However my problem is that if I am unable to take the call Comfort plays my voicemail message through the doorphone. This must be a strange experience for the caller! Should Comfort be waiting for a DTMF tone \"0\" to be pressed before routing the mobile call to the doorphone? Thanks - ident - 04-25-2011 You should upgrade the firmware to the current version as some of the issues with Door station voice have been fixed, although I do not recall in which exact version The Comfort firmware history is on the forum at http://www.comfortforums.com/forum79/ Comfort firmware can be downloaded from https://www.cytech.biz/comfort_ultra_firmware.html - dubourg - 08-28-2011 Hi I have now upgraded my Comfort Ultra to the latest firmware, and I still have the same issue with the door station where my mobile phone voicemail will be played if I don\'t answer. Any thoughts on what I should try next? Thanks Tom - ident - 08-28-2011 Playing the voicemail greeting message if the door station has not been answered should be due to the programming Check Events > Misc Events > Doorbell Response - there should be an action Record Mailbox 1 after x seconds. This causes the doorbell to record a message if the doorbell is npt answered after a programmed duratiion The new firmware does not wait for a key before switching to doorbell when you answer the call on phone or keypad. It allows you to answer the call quickly intsead of having to press a key - dubourg - 08-28-2011 Thanks for the prompt response, To check my understanding, what you suggest is that Comfort should be programmed to answer the doorphone to record a message before the time my mobile phone voicemail automatically answers? If this is the case then it is a work around for me, but not ideal because if my mobile is out of range then my voicemail will automatically answer on the 1st ring. It also presents a security issue for me because if I am on vacation my voicemail will play through the doorphone telling the caller exactly when I return from holiday! Not ideal! My preference is for comfort to play a message on my mobile advising that a caller is waiting at the doorphone and to press a button on the phone to connect to the doorphone. This gives me a second to prepare to talk to the caller and also the option to ignore it if not convenient. Thoughts? - ident - 08-28-2011 There is no option now to wait for a key to be pressed Perhaps we can consider it for the future I suggest that your voicemail be changed to not to mention that you will be away and when you will be returning. Perhaps just ask then to record a message? - dubourg - 08-28-2011 Ok understand, my mobile phone is used for business, so it is a professional requirement for me to state my whereabouts. I\'d be very keen to have the functionality to access the doorphone by pressing a button on the phone in a future firmware release. Thanks Tom - ident - 08-30-2011 That shall be considered, thanks |
