As some one that has now been dealing with comfort for a very long time i thought i would just relay the following.
The most common problem we encounter with the older style doorphones (especially the comfort Home Controls Stainless steel ones) is that the speaker corrodes.
If anybody needs a replacement speaker then I will fish out the RS part no - it does require soldering and there are different sizes for the plastic case and SS models.
