Hi
About 8 months ago my UCM went faulty and was replaced with a newer firmware version.
Prior to the change my C4 interface worked flawlessly.
Since the new board, I have no connection to C4.
Upgraded to all the newer versions since still no connection.
I have the luxury of having 2 UCMs with the interchangable sister serial/ethernet plug ins.
I failed hopelessly trying to connect to DS Manager hoping to use Comfort on my Ipad with the ethernet UCM . Refer

I decided to give my C4 a bash again armed with 2 UCM\'s.
The only time I get any response on C4 is when I press the reset button on the UCM.
I noticed each UCM version reports differently on press of the reset button

No, new firmware adds functionality, not removes functionality.

We need more precise information about your problem
I dont understand what you are attempting by inserting shunts G and H
Shunt G will remove the STX character
How are you connected, by Ethernet or RS232?
Do you still have problem with the IP address detection by DS Manager?
Then how are you able to see the below data with C4 (do you mean Control 4?)
You can downgrade to previos firmware
send an email to support@cytech.biz
I think it is better to resolve your ucm/ethernet problem first so as to avoid confusing the issue

Control4 needs G/H (either one or both) to work.
Connected to Control4 via serial RS232.
Do you still have problem with the IP address detection by DS Manager?
- YES (sent email)
Then how are you able to see the below data with C4 (do you mean Control 4?)
- When C4 is connected to the serial UCM in debug mode you can see all the chatting.
