- raygregg114 - 10-22-2011 Hi, Since I upgraded my firmware for my GSM2 board a few weeks ago I am having an intermitting problem. Sometimes the green power light flashes on the keypad. When you type in your code it says SMS TROUBLE RESTORED. You can reset or arm the system and everything is OK. Other times when you turn the alarm off maybe after a few hours or minutes (sometimes it may not happen for a few days) a beeping comes from the keypad, on the keypad it says UCM2. I had powered this from the ETH02 board with the white cable and changed it to the KA, KB etc. but still the same. ttached is a copy of the event log from the system foe today. Any ideas!!!! - slychiu - 10-22-2011 This is a false indication which has been identified To turn off this alert, please go to Security Types > Nondetector alarms, set Nondetector Alarm 22 to Null alarm Please check out the topic at http://www.comfortforums.com/forum48/2433.html - raygregg114 - 10-22-2011 Thanks for that, worked perfect. - mikegriff - 10-29-2011 with new 3.3.3 software Non detector alarm 22 is now dial failure not SMS Trouble has this made the problem go away? Mike - slychiu - 10-29-2011 No, the alarm type for non detector alarm SMS trouble should be Null or alarm type 0 - mikegriff - 10-29-2011 Should i change this entry then Chiu? I\'m getting the flashing green light!! Sorry for the questions but i cant see where the DailFailure came from! Mike - mikegriff - 10-29-2011 Hi Chiu I think I see what is happening Are my names set from my original comfort install years ago? Should I change these all back to the new names? Mike - ident - 10-30-2011 There is no need to change any names, as they are just descriptions Alarm 22\"Dial Failure\" is the cause of the SMS Trouble intermittent that you have been getting. This is not a real alarm but due to network fluctuations To get rid of it just set the assigned alarm type currently \"ARCCommsFail\" to the null alarm (blank) This should not have been caused by Comfigurator 3.3.3, as that should not affect the alarm type settings unless you start a new default cclx file - ident - 10-31-2011 Another point about these intermittent SMS Troubles: can you check the signal strength of the network bhy shunting SW8-H ? The signal strength is indicated by the 4 leds as shown in the UCM/GSM Manual If your network strength is low then you should move the module to another location and use two ADM02s to extend the cables - mikegriff - 10-31-2011 Thanks for feedback will check at weekend and report back Mike |
