During the night the alarm has gone off for no apparent reason.
I have a Comfort 1 Ultra.
The alarm was going off continuously and I could not turn it off.
The keypads were all dead - no lights and nothing on the LCD display.
After about 10 minutes the alarm finally went off.
I have turned off the power to the Comfort system and disconnected the battery.
Wondering what I should/can do next.
Is there a diagnostic procedure available to help in isolating a problem like this?
I have pulled off the siren, measured the 12V voltage to the main board and found the voltage was down to barely 5V. Next I disconnected all the inputs to the main board and found that the voltage went up to a healthy 13V.
Then I plugged all the input connectors back one by one and the problem has not re-emerged.
No doubt if this problem has occurred in the middle of the night it most likely will happen again, but with the cause of the problem not being readily identifiable I don\'t know what I should do now other than wait and see.

It appears that the Comfort power supply was pulled down by a short circuit perhaps on one of the inputs. If the voltage too low then the controller loses control. There are resetable fuses onboard that protect the hardware so that excessive current will cause the fuse to open until the load has been removed. This may be what has happened. Check all the input connections. There may be some intermittent short on one of the wiring in which case it would be difficult to trace
if this happens again I suggest to disconnect the siren, pull off the inputs one by one and see if the system recovers.

Original installation was done 6+years ago.
Australia is probably too far away for you.
