We are looking at the UCM/Heatmiser interface design and requirements

We would like some feedback on typical Heatmiser systems

Do many people use the wifi Multilink or the NetMonitor (for Rs485)? These are quite expensive. The Multilink allows multiple wifi thermostats to be controlled, otherwise the mobile apps can only control 1 wifi device

the Comfort UCM should be able to communicate with all the RS485 devices directly but it may have to use the Multilink to control more than 1 wifi device

Any installers or users have any insights?

Heatmiser 2 using RS485 here. 5 zones using a UH1 and a Touchscreen.

I have a UH1 connected to eight touchscreen V3 thermostats, mix of underfloor and radiators, hardwired via Cat5e. No Multilink or Netmonitor, am awaiting Comfort UCM!

I have a Heatmiser V3 system (12v thermostats and an a NetMonitor) plus a Comfort II - any update on the UCM availability? Very happy to be a beta tester...
Kind Regards
Simon

Hi Chiu,

Can you confirm that the UCM Heatmiser supports Multilink?

I have three wifi Heatmiser thermostats around the place and it would be great if i could get this working with all of them.

Regards

Paul

No, UCM/Heatmiser does not support multilink. That has a different protocol from the wifi heatmisers themselves
But the UCM/Heatmiser should suppport up to 8 wifi heatmisers
Currently we are resolving some problems with the wifi heatmiser

Hi Chiu,

Thanks for that, will the presence of the multi link cause issues with the comfort UCM?

I already have the multi link to allow the three thermostats to appear on my wife\'s iPhone and she would prefer to use that interface.

Each thermostat still has it\'s own IP address which is I assume how the UCM connects.

Cheers

Paul
