HI, I am experiencing an issue that every few weeks I get a tamper false alarm, early hours this morning it went off saying tamper siren, a few times recently it has gone off giving me tamper alarms for different zones. When I reset the system the tamper goes away.
Do you know what could be causing this?
In addition to this when it makes the call I answer and acknowledge by pressing #, however it still continues to dial to all numbers should it do this?

Funnily I\'ve had a few of these recently too but have just ignored but they happen a few times a month. I\'m on all the latest firmware too on all modules.
Could a firmware upgrade be the cause?

It is a bit annoying though when you get woken up early hours of the morning, at least it is not just my system doing it. I\'m guessing it must be a bug in the firmware.

There is definately no way firmware can be responsible for alarms
Wiring, intermittent contacts, short circuits are the more likely cause
If you wish to verify then short the tamper contacts and leave it for a few months or years. There will be NO tamper alarms at all - 100%
Read the event log and see exactly what alarms are mentioned in the log

Pressing # acknowledges the alarm, but it does not prevent the system from dialling the other phones in the list
If you want to stop dial out to that phone group ie phones 1-2 or 3-8, then you have to sign in. That stops dial out to the phones in that group but it continues to dial to the other group eg phones 3 to 8. When you sign in you can disarm the alarm by pressing 0 for security off

Thanks the problem is I can\'t sign in whilst it is still dialling, if it gets through to me No 3 but cannot get through to number 4 then it keeps trying to dial number 4 and holds the line. I thought the idea was that once someone acknowledges the alarm it stops dialling? If not is it possible to do this?
Do you know why we are getting these false alarms is it a bug in the firmware?

If it gets through to you at no 3, then you can press * code and # key to sign in, and press 0 for security off to disarm, instead of pressing #
Pressing # will cause it to dial the next number.
You may be outside the house or even overseas when you get the call
If just want to acknowledge the call and press #, if the call does not go to others on the list you can see that this would be a big problem, especially as Comfort is used in Offices and will as in homes.

A tamper alarm, or any zone alarm can be caused only by 1 thing - there is an open zone. There is no way for firmware to make a zone open up.
Try the above suggestion of shorting the tamper alarm. I guarantee you will have no further alarms ever

Thanks if it was the same circuit I would say that it is faulty wiring however everytime it happens it is a different circuit, I did once check the wiring on a circuit after the tamper alarm and found no fault. It must be something else as i\'m using EOL is it possible that comfort is maybe reading it wrongly occasionally? if not then I don\'t know what it is. I read the log and it said it was a tamper
