(/thread-3800.html) |
- juwi_uk - 05-05-2014 Itââ¬â¢s been 6 months in development and test, but Iââ¬â¢m now pleased to be able to announce the release of ComfortClient version 4.1.1.25. This release extends ComfortClient with connectors so you can send emails (plain or HTML), send data to external applications or web services or insert and update data in SQL databases based on floorplan driven events. These are just a starting point for the connector technologies and I plan to add more (so feed back what you want!). There are also a number of important bug fixes and performance improvements in this version. Overall I think and I hope you will agree it is an important and essential upgrade for those of you that use ComfortClient regularly. One important change from this release onwards is that Iââ¬â¢ve introduced product activation. Iââ¬â¢ve been developing ComfortClient for 6 years now and a lot of investment in both time and costs are involved with developing it. I added a PayPal donation icon to my website to try to help but even over the many years not one single person clicked it which was sad! Iââ¬â¢ve thus now decided to charge a modest fee for ComfortClient moving forwards to help try and offset some of my development outlay; this is not meant to be a profit-making exercise but I need to cover those recurring costs of development and support; IDE, certificates, web site, included component costs etc etc. I hope you will support me here if I am to continue (as I want to) ComfortClient development. The License is valid for up to 3 machines and is a one-off with life-time updates. It can be purchased securely through PayPal via the button on the trial page when you start ComfortClient or from the Information\\License Management menu option once started. ComfortClient will run in trial mode for up to 45 days. Once you have purchased a license key it should be automatically emailed to you within a couple of minutes. Iââ¬â¢ve decided to introduce ComfortClient at an introductory price in respect of all of you that use it at the moment but I plan to uplift the price after a few weeks so if you use ComfortClient already then Iââ¬â¢d advise you to buy now at the reduced rate! :0) BTW ââ¬ÅNew ComfortClientââ¬Â has an NCC acronym so what better product code to use on PayPal but ââ¬ÅNCC-1701ââ¬Â which Iââ¬â¢m sure will trigger some memories with a few of you afficianados; ââ¬ÅLive Long and Prosperââ¬Â! The new features and fixes are discussed in the forum post at http://www.comfortforums.com/forum65/3555.html Download either from my website, from within ComfortClient itself if advertised, or from the download links in forum post http://www.comfortforums.com/forum65/1948.html I hope you enjoy and will continue to support me in itââ¬â¢s development. Regards Julian - juwi_uk - 05-07-2014 A big thank you to those that have ordered so far on my \"early bird special\"! ![]() Jules - juwi_uk - 05-15-2014 I\'m guessing that all of you that wanted to upgrade to the new version then have done and I can remove the \"early -bird\" pricing in the next few days.
