Can anyone recommend a secure wireless interface for Comfort to

a/ Arm/disarm comfort to/from away mode

at the same time closing/opening the garage door \"Hormann\".

HAs anyone managed to use a  Hormann or similar garage door control for this.

thanks

Visonic www.visonic.com have a range of wireless handheld transmitters and receivers. The receivers have 1 to 4 hardwired outputs which can be connected to Comfort Inputs to trigger responses for arming and disarming, and to open the garage door. I am not familiar with Hormann, I would expect that it can be opened or closed using a relay contact

Ive done this with a £3 ($6) relay straight to a comfort relay output. Very easy.

Also, with a magentic door sensor, Comfort knows if the door is open or closed - and will even self close when arming to away etc...

Many thanks....This could fit the bill....

I have a few Comfort Relays from playing with Camera switching back in 2000/2001 and if I can find these, I can use them for Comfort to control the door. I\'ll try to get the Hormann diagram to see where I can wire in so that the Horman remote can switch the alarm on/off....I could use x10...but not secure.

thanks again

Dont even think of using x10 that can control access :-)

Most garage door openers are 24v so just ensure your relay is up to the task.
