KP04A Firmware 7.008 to 7.016

From Firmware 7.008, KP04A and KP06A are different, because KP04A has been extended to support the CM9001-EMS Environmental Monitoring System which has its won website https://www.cytech.biz/brochure/ems.html
KP04A is able to switch bto EMS Mode to view up to 4 sensors and their setpoints, and change the setpoints as well as enable or disable the setpoints.
KP04A can be set to Alarm Mode (normal) or EMS Mode

Supports EMS Mode for sensors and setpoints

KP04A 7.010 (6 Aug 2018)

Changed the behaviour of the F key. Pressing F key clears the alarm message on trhe LCD and shows the EMS mode ie Sensor values
The F key also behaves like in Alarm Mode, ie it ends the voice menu and is used for keypad shortcut keys 0 to 9 and *

The new Firmware has the following changes;

Backlight turns on when the Keypad speaker comes on to make an announcement or in voice menu. The backlight is turned off after a few seconds when the speaker is turned off. This fixes the issue when the backlight turns off when arming or in voice menu or event log when no key is pressed. Pressing a key already turns on the backlight
Backlight remains on in Setup mode (long press * key) so the backlight does not go off while doing setup

7.006 (12 July 2017)

Changed default Ã¢â¬ÅKeypad TamperÃ¢â¬Â setting from Ã¢â¬ÅEnableÃ¢â¬Â to Ã¢â¬ÅDisableÃ¢â¬Â. Most often, kyepad tamper is not required at least until the system has been programmed. Hence the default is now Disable Tamper. This can be changed in the Settings Menu

The new firmware 6.010 has a new meaning for the Voice Broadcast setting in the setup menu. This is accessed by pressing and holding the * key when the engineer sign in option has been enabled by pressing the F0 key.

Voice Broadcast ON means that voice announcements like arming, disarming, and siren sounds and alarms will be heard on the KP06

Voice Broadcast OFF means the voice announcements will not be heard on the keypad, except when there is an alarm, in which case the alarm sounds and announcements are heard on the keypad.

The change is that previously, Voice Broadcast Off means the announcements are permanently disabled on the keypad even during alarm

This is useful for a keypad that is inside a bedroom. The announcements will not disturb the occupants until there is an alarm

KP06 v6.009

This firmware fixes a very specific bug which together with UCM/ETH03 firmware 2.02 to 2.08, only in the months of August and September, causes the time shown on KP06 to be wrong whenever the ETH03 SNTP time updating service updates the time

Upgrading either KP06 to 6.009 or ETH03 to 2.09 (or both) will prevent this from occuring

The new firmware KP06 v 6.008 has been released This fixes some bugs which have been found

Fixed zone name corruption (eg display \"kitchen Kitchen Kitchen..\"caused by the following conditions; at least 1 zone name with 16 characters; a zone with name < 16 characters triggered just before the 16 character zone
Up to 15 IDs allowed in the setup menu (but requires Comfort firmware changes)
LED status updated upon reset. Before LEDs were off when KP06 is reset
Supports serial number function. ULT 7.052 firmware is required for this (not released yet)

Fix not showing own ID conflict when other ID conflict is triggered first. Unable to enter keypad setting mode, as Engineer code is needed.
Fix bug still displaying other device ID conflict when it has already recovered.
Remove unused RS485 Command (84h)
Add \"485 Communication Status\" command (92h).Other than displaying conflict error message, if it is own ID, it shows ID and version. Otherwise, it shows the detected device ID.
Changed boot-up error message from Ã¢â¬ÅText ErrorÃ¢â¬Â to Ã¢â¬ÅID ConflictÃ¢â¬Â.
Was showing the wrong error message. If there is no error, this error message should not be seen or just briefly.
Ignore 20h and 21 commands when received. Otherwise, this causes endless loops and may hang Comfort bus.

Nothing in the firmware history for KP06 on forum though.

Need engineer code to access Setting menu so that users cannot accidentally change the ID and cause a communications Failure
\"Factory default\" option is incorporated into Setting menu. No longer triggered by holding * key for 6 secs.

Implemented LCD display in cases when keypad ID is not polled after 10 seconds - First LCD page shown is \"ID#x Verx.xxx\" and second page is \"Keypad\", \"NOT polled\". When keypad ID is polled by Comfort again, the LCD display will go back to normal automatically.

Changed LCD text when communication failure for 20 seconds. Previously text was Ã¢â¬ÅCommunication FailureÃ¢â¬Â with own ID. Now, the first LCD page shown is \"ID#x Verx.xxx\" and second page is \"No Bus\", \"Communications\".
Fixed beep handling. Keypad beeps abruptly stopped when speaker off command was received.

Added time display format in settings menu.
The possible settings are:-
12 Hour (AM/PM)
24 Hour (HH:MM)

Added combination buttons to work with in some hardware designs, where they do not have volume buttons.
\'3\' & \'#\' is volume up.
\'6\' & \'#\' is volume down.

Added keys \'8\' and \'0\' for changing selections in settings menu, in addition to vol up and down buttons . The \'8\' key is for downward select, similar to volume down key. Note that combination volume up and combination volume down cannot be used in the settings menu.

Cater for new user assignment for Comfort version 6.011 and upwards. Upon boot-up, keypad gets Comfort version to determine which set to display.

User 18 is Engineer.
User 90 is Keypad.
User 91 is Response.
User 92 is Phone.
User 93 is Pager.
User 94 is CMS.
User 95 is SMS.

From v6.011 onwards,

User 254 is Engineer.
User 240 is Keypad.
User 241 is Response.
User 242 is Phone.
User 243 is Pager.
User 244 is CMS.
User 245 is SMS.
User 17 to User 24 for UCM ID1 to 8.

Disabled tamper Restore report upon reset. This causes users to receive keypad tamper restored sms (notifications) upon reset when there is no tamper.
