Along with this I got an antenna kit and a heatsink - both of which were not really needed.From Amazon I got the WaveShare CM4-to-CM3-Board which allows you to attach a CM4 onto a CM3 style connector. I think this cost about €20.With the CM4 and heatsink attached to the UCM/Pi, it looks a bit flimsy but in practice I\'ve had no problems with the security of the mount - see the attached photo.
In use, the heatsink barely gets warm and CPU load averages around 0.14 with occasional peaks up to 2.I started off by removing the UCM/Pi from the alarm system as it\'s location made it awkard to work on. I then installed the CM4 and adapter board and hooked it up to a keyboard, monitor and 12V power supply. This was a mistake, Raspbian OS would not install, crashing immediately after the installation. WaveShare support suggested that it was a power issue, so I tried a 5A 12V supply with the same results. Only when I installed the UCM/Pi back in the alarm would the install complete successfully.Once I got the install script working, it has run without any issues for the last few months.For anyone thinking that this upgrade will improve performance, I\'m afraid the only difference I noticed was a slightly faster boot time. With Node-RED, it felt the same as a CM3. However, I have installed Docker, so I can install a few of my favourite images on it and take advanage of the built-in battery back up for reliability.

I would like to recover it if possible, to use for testing and as a spare as I have a CM4 and a CM3 to CM4 adaptor. The PWR, RDY & ACT LEDs are green and I do see a flash from the Pi boot on the screen when I power it up, but then it goes blank.
Any thoughts on if it\'s possible to recover it?

I\'m still struggling on with X10 dimmers which have become even more problematic with the switch to LED lamps. My plan was to replace with Velbus but as I have 35+ X10 DIN rail dimmers and a fair few switches this would be quite a project in terms of time and expense plus there is the worry that even then the dimmers may still be problematic with LED loads.It looks like adding a UCM/PI would open the door to many other lighting technologies some of which would have been built from the ground up to support dimming of LED fixtures so I think this might be the right path.

Most of my HA logic is done directly within comfort, and has been for years, is very very stable, and rarely if ever requires changes etc, so i am pretty happy, in fact I would almost insist that most of the HA logic is kept within comfort purely because it is so reliable and stable. 

So, the UCM PI for me, is an interface to google assistant and priro to this, I was running Openhab on a seperate RPI to integrate velbus togoogle assistant, but migrated all of this over to the UCMPI to get rid of hardware and consoldiate everything. 

I still retain another RPI with the community edition of alphawerks as this had been providing google assistant interface of comfort (alarms, sensors etc), but has now started to play up a bit, and overall its a very complex setup just to link in alarm status, and sensors for comfort to google assistant. 

Anyway, over the christmas period, Ive been tinkering, and trying to get my UCMPI running Openhab to expose comfort to Google Assistant, but have failed miserably. 

My first obstacle was upgrading to openhab3, which I have managed to do, after finding out through the guys on the slack forum, that I was low on disk space, 4Gb is quite tight.
I now have issues with node red, which has failed, and have been trying to re-install it, but think I am running in to disk space issues again. 

So, after the above rant, I suppose my question is, do I need to upgrade my disk space, purchase a cm3+ and migrate to that before looking to add and fix my issues ? 

When really, the UCMPI to me was a method of integrating comfort to google asisstant , it hasnt acheived that for me (and I admit, this is mostly down to my own lack of knowledge and time to delve into the system), so is this the best route for me ? 

Are there other options that people see to integrate comfort to home assistant, perhaps I go for a basic RPI install of Home Assistant ?
All I really want to do is remove smartthings and Alphawerk Community edition from my setup.
I think the UCMPI is great, and well done to Matt and Alphawerk, but while I work in a technical field, and would be reasonably good at getting a grip on things, the learning curve and time required to get it working is just too steep for me at the moment, and that is the main reason the UCMPI hasnt delivered for me.
