I am intersted in adding the access functionality for arm/disarm for the system utilsing a rfid reader and keyfobs.

My question is, whether the UCM/ACCESS module is supported by the comfort 1. Also, the reader as advertised at Cytech.biz (Axeze) doesn\'t seem to be available in the UK. Has anyone managed to add this type of functionality to a comfort 1 system?

Any info appreciated?

Positions 4.5.6 (Rs232) should be OFF
Positions 7,8 should be OFF

The FPs are at present all Masters, could this have something to do with it.  The appropriate leds are flashing.  The UCM was found by Comfigurator 3 but only has an other type as there isn\'t an Access type.  Ther seems no way to test it other than run responses.

Would appear to be a much more reasonable price than the Comfort system. Im sure there are subtle differences, but mostly its $120 vs $1000 thats the killer.

The interface between the fingerprint reader and the Comfort controller is by RS232 or RS485 serial interface, requiring only a data cable for connection. Comfort monitors the communication to trigger an alert or alarm if the cable is cut or the fingerprint reader is tampered with.
The FPR01 module will be made available initially in Asia through Cytech Distributors and should be introduced to Europe at the end of 2006.
