Hi,
I have 4 scs switches, but two of them are no longer used so I need to remove them from my configurataion. I go to modules and settings, delete the removed ones, and then do a selective upload to update modules and setting.
However, once I do this, and then do a scan for all modules, comfort still detects 4 scs switches, even though two are removed, so it should only detect the remaining two ?
Would appreciate some quick advice on this, heading away tomorrow, so just want to get the comms failure cleared.
Have I missed something in mounting them as they are just held in with a couple of spring-loaded clips?
Would I be better off with a different surround such as the Esprit?

Hi,

I have mapped the temperature sensor of an SCS8 to an entry in the control menu, but it always reports in Fahrenheit. I would like to have the announcement in Celsius. In the SCSman.pdf it says:

Quote:The temperature may also be announced in either ̊F or ̊C. The default setting is in ̊C. To change the settings to ̊F, the total value of location 39 (as shown in the “Comfort II Ultra Program Worksheet (FS34)”) must add an additional value of 1. This is to be done via the Location Menu in the Engineer Menu on the keypad.
Note: Changing the value of location 39 only changes the announcement made by the keypads and does not change the value of the registers.

However, I found this in the firmware section:

Quote:Version 2.004 – 22 June 2010

Support temperature sensor report in Celsius. Take note that the temperature unit now is 0 for Fahrenheit and 1 for Celsius, which are the reverse from previously.

My version is 2.004. The current value of location 0039 is 168, but it makes no difference when I change it to 169 and reset. Please advise how to change to ºC.
Thanks

If anyone has a SCS switch connected to Comfort, and willing to help, then I need some data for my Comfort Simulator.

I need a Bus Monitor trace of a SCS when you do two commands:

u?51 and

SN51

The above might be tricky, you need two UCM\'s to do this. The one to take a trace and the other to send the queries to Comfort.

I am trying to \'fix\' my Simulator so that it doesn\'t crash when you start the Bus Monitor but I don\'t have a SCS to toy around with. You can PM me if you don\'t want to post the data on the forum.

I upgraded all firmware this weekend whilst finally getting my GSM module online after having it for 6 years (thanks to rocketsimon for the the GiffGaff tip).

I\'m curently on Ultra 7.027.

I have an SCS on ID1 and until the upgrade the LEDs did as they were told, flashing on key press and then changing as set by the response.

Since the upgrade the LEDs remain flashing after they have been pressed, in spite of the Output Off command being sent by the response.

I think it must be linked to the fact that outputs will not set if they are already in the requested state.

I\'ve tried adding an output on before the output off which stops the flashing however the LEDs now toggle on and off on keys where they should remain off at all time.

For example I have an \"Unset from night\" switch which should do a KeyswitchArm SecurityOff if the current status is Night Mode, followed by switching off the LEDs on it\'s own switch and two others.
This switch\'s LED should never be on or flashing.
Post firmware update the LED flashes continuously after it is first pressed.

Is there any workaround for this? Reset All Outputs is no good for me as I have other things (outside lights, heating relays etc.) on other outputs.

The temperature sensor in the SCS I think it is not good solution. Is necessary included an SCS for to access the temperature sensors. An excellent solution I think is the creation of a new RIO (RIO02) with 8 inputs and 8 outputs analog (0 - 10V), so we can place sensors of temperature, light, humidity, etc..

Hi,

I have temperature monitored by a SCS and temperature monitored by the Smartfit UCM card.

Smartfit stores it\'s temperature in a counter in Celcius.

SCS stores it\'s temperature in a sensor register in Fahrenheit.

We can\'t convert from one to the other in a response as no divide/multiply calcs (presumably difficult to implement as integer counters rather than decimal counters).

Looked through both SCS and Smartfit docs and whilst you can change the scale the keypads report on, I cant see any way to change what the registers/counters store.

So how do I compare the two temperatures? In my example above the SCS is measuring outside temp and Smartfit the inside Central Heating room temp. Want to know the difference!
