I recently updated my firmware to the current version from quite an old version and also installed a GSM module.

We always had the system programmed so that when we pressed the lock symbol the alarm would bypass the garage sensors and then set to away mode. We could then access the garage on our way out of the house.

If we were going out and wanted the whole house including the garage to be alarmed then we pressed \'FF\' and the system was set to vacation mode.

Since my recent upgrade, pressing FF does not do anything. We can only set to vacation mode by using the GSM module.

Is there now a different way to set to vacation mode that I have missed?

Thanks

I have a response attached to the F key to arm to vacation mode i.e. press F twice.I noted recently this no longer works but can\'t understand why. The response is still there (and works if executed from Comfigurator) and is attached to the F key but pressing it twice gives a long bleep error tone.
I have put the new 9001 board in and changed one of the 2 KP04 keypads for a more up-to-date KP04A. Not critical by any means, just curious as to why it has stopped working, I must have missed something.
Anyone put me on the right track?

I have noticed that if I arm remotely (phone or via app) and later enter the building to disarm locally, there are no warning blips to indicate a disarm is needed. In fact the keypad makes no announcements on disarm.
I cannot find much in the manuals about how remote disarms work, other than Action Code 73,14 which detects a remote access.
1) does remote arming just reproduce the action of pressing a keypad key activating any attached response ?
2) Why no blips to indicate disarm needed ??

Hi

In our location we have numerous power failures, which normally isn\'t a problem. But on the last two power failures an alarm state has been triggered. Security was in Security off and the only way to silence it was to do a system reset on the panel.

About a month ago I fitted a new battery as the old one was failing the battery check.

I have also been having the odd false alarm, luckily mainly on a door that doesn\'t trigger full alarm but keeps announcing door is open when not. I replaced the contact, still happened. Then I swapped the zone over and it happens on the other door on same zone. Have also had three other Zones trigger with no apparent reason, the others are PIRs

Any ideas at to what could be causing these issues?

Regards

Wonder if anyone can help. Had the Alarm triggered this morning, got neighbour to check there wasn\'t a problem, so tried to set to Security off remotely but could not sign in.

I just kept getting \"Wrong Code\"...tried both mine and the wife\'s code to no avail. Ended up driving home 50 Miles to reset!!

When I got home I signed in fine as usual to silence the Alarm. I then tried signing in from local phone, no problem. Then tried again from my mobile...same thing \"wrong code\".

I am using an iPhone 6, could it be the system doesn\'t like the touch tones on the iPhone? Bit stumped and cannot think what is the problem? Going to see if I can borrow another type of phone to try remotely to see if that works.

Anybody got any ideas, very frustrating not being able to dial in...I have done it in the past!!

Hi,
Having trouble arming the system and getting confusing messages about what is causing the problem.
We have a fairly common set up of Exit Door as final arm (wired magnetic contact set as EntryDoor) on zone 17 and the area is covered by a wired PIR as well (AlertAway) on Zone 7.
The last few times we\'ve tried to arm it has failed. The event log gives the following:

04/20 12:08 Sign in - User # 1

04/20 12:08 Mode Change # Security Off

04/20 12:10 Restore - Zone # HallMotion (7)

04/20 12:10 Restore - Zone # HallMotion (7)

04/20 12:10 Custom Event # 12

04/20 12:10 Alarm Type # ArmFail (4)

04/20 12:11 Sign in - User # 1

04/20 12:11 Alarm Type # AlarmAbort (20)

04/20 12:11 Sign in - User # 1

04/20 12:11 Mode Change # Security Off

Whereas the e-mail I receive from ETH03 gives:

ArmFail by: Zone--7
    20/04/2019 12:11:12

Is this a problem with the Hall PIR on Zone 7 as alluded to by the e-mail, but there does not seem to be an activation in the log?
Any explanation and thoughts on what to do as I\'m going on holiday in a couple of days?
Thanks

Problem encountered:

When arming to any mode, away, night, day the arming does not complete, although no zones are announced.

This may be due to the Tamper Input left open, but Nondetector Alarm for Tamper has been assigned to Null Alarm instead of Tamper Alarm Type.
When the Tamper Nondetector Alarm is set to Null, it means that when tamper occurs, it does not cause a Tamper Alarm Type, but is ignored. However Comfort does detect Tamper but does not announce it, but does not allow the system to arm - thus the arming does not complete

This probably happened because the installer did not want to connect the Tamper Input, but instead dxecided to disable the Tamper alarm in Nindetector allarms. The result is the system cannot be armed.

The next firmware (after 7.117) will fix this so that if Nondetector Alarm for Tamper is Null, the system can be armed

Hi,

I have a front door configured as type EntryDoor and Entry=Yes.
I also hava a PIR in my hall configured as PirAwayNightAlert which is a copy of PirNightAway with Night=alert instead of immediate and also Entry=Yes.

The system is configured to arm on Final Door.

We have the habit to open the front door and then arm the system. If we wait for the \"front door\" announcement a couple of times the system arms successfully. But if we more or less immediately close the front door the system often raises an arm failure.

My guess is it is because the system is flushing the queue of zone detections while arming; so if i ran through the house just before arming these zone detections seem to be processed *after* system arming triggering an arm failure. Or something like that.

What can i change in my setup to prevent these failures?

Firstly I should say that I am not a professional installer but I have just finished installing a Comfort Ultra 2 system into a house that we moved into a couple of years ago, having been so pleased with the one that I installed in our old house. It is really a very impressive system and the newer versions of Comfigurator make programming much easier than I remember it being the first time round!

That having been said, I am struggling to achieve something that I think should be very simple. I know that this has been discussed elsewhere on the board before but none of the potential solutions seem to work.

The problem.

When I installed the latest system I only used a single keypad - next to the alarm cupboard. This works fine but if the system is triggered at night we don\'t hear the external sounder very well and the keypad is almost inaudible upstairs. In the longer term I plan to install keypads upstairs, but in the meantime the goal was to increase the volume of the internal alarm. To do this I installed a speaker which I duly connected to the appropriate terminals on the mainboard.

This certainly works for the intruder alarm - it is very loud. The problem is that arming and trouble tones are now also heard over the speaker - very loudly even when I reduce the gain on the on board potentiometer. This means that if one of us is up late and arms the system before we go upstairs the arming tones wake the entire family.

The issue here seems to be that Comfort uses the same sound for an entry and exit alert delay, which we want from the speakers in day and vacation modes, as it uses for night mode. I know this sounds picky, but is seems to me understandable that a mode that is designed to be armed at night, when other members of the family are likely to be asleep, should have an easy option for muting the warning tones and announcements, to save waking everyone up.

If there is such a simple solution I have not been able to find it and so I would be very grateful if anyone can tell me how this is best achieved! At the moment, after frequent complaints from my wife, I have had to disconnect the speaker entirely, which is not a great solution long term as it means we might sleep through a proper intruder alert.

I guess this is a small issue in the grand scheme of things when you consider that I have a security system that I can access by SMS, calls me if there is trouble or an intruder, integrates with my X10 lights and can be triggered by my Zwave PIR\'s!

Anyway, any help with this would be much appreciated.

I have a Comfort II system. At 1am this morning whilst in bed I heard the keypad announce \"security off\" despite the fact that know one had disarmed the system, this was very surprising and I have ever had this happen before. This morning I checked the log and it told me that a \"system reset\" had been performed, i had nothing to do with this, the system did it itself.

Why did this happen.
If the system had been armed, would this still have happened and if so, would the system have become disarmed? Thanks for your help.
