I've identified a bug with Comfig 3 - on another thread ref ID 0

Chiu has suggested that I use Comfig 4 that gets over the issue (as far as I can see I've NOT actually uploaded the file live only on non connected PC).

I'm really nervous about using Comfig 4 on older existing Comfort installations.

Please bear in mind that we deal with some large properties that historically have large complex installations. I attach .cclx file of a property we are attending tomorrow. It developed a slave com fault and i have a 'new' slave panel (just purchased from Laser but not ARM !) to change out - the old slave is the large square chip type.
The main CPU is still on firmware 7.194

Can you give me some assurance that if I use Comfig 4 that its not all going to go horribly wrong !
So for example what testing as been done with C4 on larger older comfort installations ?
Has anybody else used C4 on older installs ?
Should I update the firmware to 8 ?

We service and maintain a number of older comfort installations that are pre 7.xxx updateable
We have found that Comfigurator 3.12.16 is the last useable version on older C1 and 5.xxx 6.xxx installations (later versions cause all sort of corruptions).
Unfortunately we are unable to install 2 versions of comfigurator at once.Would it be possible to alter this so that we can run 3.12.16 at the same time as the most current version.
Would save us quite some time and would be useful for any one with older versions.

Yesterday I installed Comfigurator v3.12.8 and used that to update my Comfort firmware to v7.142. I immediately noticed that my Comfort controlled external lights were not functioning nominally. It turned out that ALL of my Comfort flags were set to ON - every single one of them, including all of the unused flags up to Flag254. So my response programming wasn\'t performed as expected because the expected state did not match reality.

After I manually (inside Comfigurator, under Comfort Registers/Flags) enabled Show Status, I was then able to set all of the flags that I use back to OFF. Things once again appeared nominal.

Now, I can code around this sort of scenario and reset them at opportune moments, but it\'s new behaviour that I\'ve not seen before with firmware updates that I\'ve applied.

Any thoughts? Did I do something wrong during the firmware update process and do I need to revise my procedures perhaps?

Comfigurator 3.11.1
Known Issues

Writing to EEPROM for UCM/KNX writes empty data, so the group addresses mapping is lost

For Selective Read for any comfigurator item, if the referenced Response is not present in Comfigurator responses, then the response becomes Null. eg If Time Program references Response 100, and Comfigurator does not have this response, then the Time Program response becomes Null Response. Selective Read should be done only for information purposes. A Full Read from Comfort is needed to know the correct program in Comfort. (old bug)

For Graph References, if there are any references to HIO and TSM modules (new unreleased modules), an un-handled exception is seen

In IRIO, any input function after selecting the Register Type (eg Couter, Flag), is not able to select the Register Number (Counter or Flag number). The workaround is to go to another Input or screen and come back to the input to select the Comfort register.

For KT03 using Counters and Outputs, the Counter and Outputs Reference to KT03 is not shown in blue in the Counters page and Outputs page (old bug)

When the cclx file wordlist does not match the vocabulary (Voice) in Comfort, logging in to Comfigurator will change the wordlist to the one in Comfort, but the words selected in Zones and Control menu are still the wrong wordlist and the words written to Comfort will be the worng wordlist . To work around, the Wordlist in Comfigurator must be changed manually to the one on Comfort before doing a write to Comfort (old bug)

Reading from Comfort does not read the Daylight Saving table into Comfigurator (in Sunrise/Sunset Times), although the Sunrise/sunset times are read. (old Bug)

If UCM/Cbus2 is present, all zones are referenced to UCM/Cbus2 because of the Cbus2 Physical Inputs, even though the Physiacl Inputs are not mapped to Cbus (old Bug)

In Flags, if Check Status box is checked for a flag, the status is updated, but if the flag changes subsequently, the flag status in the centre pane is not updated until you go to another page and back, or uncheck and check the box (old bug)

Bugs Fixed

Read from Comfort removed all the Modules from the modules tab

Register References for TSM and HIO were not shown. However now Graph References causes exception.

For IRIO \"Show References\" did not include the \"Summer/Winter Flag Name\"

For IRIO, ISM07 Relay I/O, Blinds DC had \"Unhandled exception\" error when clicking on Pulse width. After changing Pulse Width or Min Pulse Gap, the properties of the submodule cannot be changed.

For IRIO, Read from IRIO always has Travel time = 254 seconds

In Control Menu, after selecting Feedback Types = Output, Flags or Zones/Inputs, the words for 0 = Off and 1 = On are automatically entered. This works correctly now.

New Features

Support for new UCM/KNX2 with enhanced KNX Interface. UCM/KNX2 is still being tested and is not released yet.

Graph References hover remains on for 30 seconds (instead of 10 seconds) so it is easy to read the Responses.

For IRIO, the control and feedback registers have been changed. Control/Feedback Register combines the main Control and Feedback register into one register so that the user does not need to specify a separate control register and feedback register if they are the same. 3 other control registers allow scenes

For IRIO, each Submodule properties window shows a summary of the assigned Outputs and Inputs Functions without having to select each Output/Input to find out the Function assigned

In the Control Menu, if Feedback Type = Output, Zones, or Flag is selected, the action Keys 0 and 1 are automatically entered as Off and On respectively. This saves time in programming the Control Menu especially for use in the Comfort app. In a future Comfort firmware upgrade, pressing the Off and On buttons wil automatically cause the Flag, Output to be turned on or off. However the \"Off\" and \"On\" words cannot be seen in the Control Menu unless you go to another page and come back to it.

Comfigurator 3.11.14 introduces changes to simplify programming, as well as new and powerful features. This is for testing for advanced users only. It will be eventually released as Comfigurator 3.12
Categories

For example, the \"Security\" and \"Security Types\" Categories have been combined into \"Alarms\"

Note that this feature is not complete. Further enhancements will be made to improve it.

Show/Change Status

This allows the real time state of Flags, counters, outputs which are mapped to KNX, CBus, HIO to be seen directly in the modules and the state to be changed or controlled in the module. This is a very useful tool for testing the mapping in both directions

Hi, Bit of a problem here.I upgraded to comfort 2 pcb, and converted the previous config file to comfort 2 ultra format. I saved the file and all seemed fine. It uploaded to the new board too (checked each zone in engineer mode). There were two issues (see below) but generally it\'s fine.

After the above I then did a whole load of updates for the control menu, and added the irio configuration. This was again saved, but not uploaded as the irio isn\'t connected yet.

Tonight I have fired up comfigurator, selected the file, and got the above.
I have opened the file in notepad and it generally looks ok (I don\'t have the schema so can\'t validate it against that).

On a different subject (so probably needs a different topic, unless it\'s related):

For some reason it\'s not recognised the login codes, and is stuck on the default.

pressing the door bell announces just fine, but doesn\'t ring the phones. The phones are wired just as they were for comfort 1, which worked great. The phones ring for incoming calls. Looking at one phone it\'s light flashes, and if I pick it up the line is dead for a few seconds.

I need to query the status first before doing an upload, else it fails to find the ucm.

If it helps I can email or attach the configuration file. Or is there a debug log or something I should look at ?
Thanks in advance.
