I am looking at the QMotion blinds which have a Zigbee control option.
Has anyone successfully interfaced Comfort with Zigbee and these blinds in particular?

UCM Universal Response to UCM Universal Message

I am trying to get the Comfort Alarm to issue Commands to the UCM Universal when it sees certain incoming messages from the same UCM universal.
The response I have setup has 2 commands in it (They can be seen in the \"Commands to Device\" tab). When I right click the response and choose \"Execute Response\" both commands execute perfectly.
I then choose click Learn in the \"Device to Comfort\" tab and the expected message appears. I choose type as Response and then select the Response that tested successfully earlier and then click \"Write to EEprom\".
The Comfort does not seem to execute the Response when the message is seen. Am I doing something wrong? Is this the correct way to get the comfort to send a command to the UCM universal when it sees a particular message from the UCM universal?

Has anyone....?

...integrated comfort with HIVE yet?
My Heatmiser system died today and I needed something fast so I went with the HIVE heating controller as my system is maintained by British Gas. ÃÂ It seems pretty cool so far as also links to Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa as well. More the point \"the wife\" understands how to work this one!ÃÂ
But has anyone got it working with Comfort so far?
I read this system has a million user base so hopefully a few are Comfort Users too.
I can use IFTTT if necessary but already missing my UCM/Heatmiser integration especially as I was one of the early \"Guinea Pigs\"! ÃÂ

Guide for UCM/ETH03 to send TCP packets?

Hi,I saw an old post that said a UCM/Universal (with ethernet module) or UCM/ETH03 (which the one I have) can send TCP messages using the RS232 SEND comment. I can\'t seem to find any guides on how to do this?
Can anyone point me in the right direction to a guide or give me a few examples of how to send a packet to a particular IP address and port?

Hi All.
I just wanted to give a quick update on how I am getting on with the universal ucm and my AV kit.
My Yamaha amp works well using the commands to device examples below (thanks to help from Cytech)

I have setup 4 simple momentary switch which triggers a universal ucm command. At the moment this is supported by a IRIO with IR sub board to turn the TV on.
Therefore, with the push of a button I can turn on the TV select a AV device, TIVO, DVD, PC, Kodi box etc, set the desired volume for the selected device and set the lighting or even set the 3 audio zones in to party mode.
I have just started to look at controlling the Sony android TV, code for this:

(tv standby) this sort of works.... if I execute the command it works every now and then so guess I need to tweak some settings

I have tried a few other commands Home button, mute etc none of which have worked yet. I have posts on Sony forums and emailing cytech to see if they have any ideas.
There are several settings on the TV that need looking at under the network setup.
I will keep everyone posted on my progress.
This is sad I know, but at bed time if we are in the middle of watching a program I simple press a button (could be run by the app) it pauses the TiVo, turns off the tv in the lounge, turns off all my lights, turns on the bedroom tv selects the correct HDMI input sets up my amp to show the TIVO and after a couple of minutes starts to play the program again and even set the sleep timer on the bedroom tv. Not difficult to do using remotes, but you can almost guarantee the remotes wont be where you expect them to be, I also need to fire up the Yamaha app on my phone to set up the amp just effort. Using Cytech IRIO / Universal UCM I don\'t have to do a thing other than trigger the event absolutely magic

Domi Lite / Bye Bye Standby

I\'ve been looking at alternatives to my defunct RFXCom controller which is no longer made, and I\'ve found the following info for the \'online controller\' for Bye Bye Standby modules (also known as Domia Lite) which are relatively cheap.
Do we think the Ethernet/UCM would be able to control this?

The online controller listens on port 53006 for UDP broadcast packets. The message syntax is:
D:nXYY:E
Where n = 0 for off, 1 for on.
X = Address Letter (A-P)
YY = 2 digit Address Number (01-16)
Eg D:1A01:E turns A1 on.

HELP UCM Universal / RAKO now not working!

Guys I just upgraded firmware from version 6.(something) to latest 7.065 Now it appears that none of my responses are working with RAKO!!
a typical response shown below

Universal UCM/ETH03 not working as expected

Hi,
I have recently upgraded my comfort system to V7 across the board
Comrfort system 5.164 -> 7.078UCM/ETH3 7.072UCM cbus 5.154 (left the same)UCM universal 6.026 -> 7.065
The system seems fine, however the universal UCM is not playing ball. I mainly use it to send some messages to a server on a specific tcp port. I can see using wireshark that the connection is established, and when i execute a command or trigger a response that executes one, I get data sent over this connection. The problem is that instead of a text message, it just contains one byte (FF). I have tried to update the config numerous times as well as re-write the eeprom. Any pointers would be appreciated.

Third Party Control Systems Summary

I have been using X10 to control lighting and appliances from Comfort for some years but it has never been very reliable or comprehensive and it now seems there are some doubts about its future.

Is there a brief summary of the third party systems supported by Comfort (Z-wave, KNX, Velbus etc) detailing wired/wireless, one way/two way, functionality, modules available, relative cost etc that would help me (and maybe others) decide which route to take?

UCM Unviersal 7.065 + ETH02 not linkining/registering WIFI Link unit

I have Comfort (7.077), UCM 7.065 universal + ETH02 so that I can follow the set up instructions for LigIhtWaveRF. I do have ETH03(which I tried as well as wel)l. I have have upgraded ETH02 to Universal Cytech_Uni3_13 via device explorer. I then went to Configurator 3.10.4.0 and DS Explorer to set the settings and write to EProm after changing the settings, What can I check to see what is happening, or do next? I include my ccLX file as well.
I am not able to link and register UCM to WIFI link unit. I do not get any response on the WIFI link unit to confirm YES register device. i can ping the WIFI Link unit.
I have spoken to LightWaveRF technical support to confirm register command:

Universal UCM 7.065 to 7.117

The Universal UCM 7.065 firmware has the following changes

Supports baud rates 57600, 76800. This requires Comfigurator 3.9.9
Allows its own firmware to be upgraded via Rs485 Bus. That means you can right click on the Universal UCM in Comfigurator and select \"Check for Updates\". Note this is applicable for future upgrades to Unversal firmware version 7, not for upgrade from version 6 to 7

Known Bugs

Send commands to Universal starting with \"S\" do not work. This affects Rako scene commands for example

Problem getting ETH03 to connect to remote server

Hi,
I have a UCM universal with ETH03 and all is working well except for the fact that I cant get the UCM (or rather ETH03) to make a TCP connection to my remote server.
My ETH03 is recognized and has a valid dhcp IP, I can even telnet into its port and I can see any text I type coming out on the monitor mode window, so that part is working.
When I change the mode to client/server or client, and enter an IP address/port number then submit, it seems to do make the change, but does not establish a connection.
if I hit clear list, then refresh, it refreshes with the configuration I want, but still does not work. Interestingly, playing with changing other parameters (dhcp, server port, etc). It seems that the only thing I can change that seems to work is the IP address. Everything else says it has changed but doesn\'t appear to have. For example, if I change the server port to 10000, it still listens on 1001 even though the refresh says its on 10000.
The reboot button seems to be more like a reset to factory default, it overwrites the IP back to dhcp, however at least the refresh button then shows the config as iit originally was before my changes. (i.e. back to cserver mode on port 1001).
I have upgraded to the latest firmware 1.15 and am running CS Manager under windows 8. The server port is definitely open (a telnet shows data coming back). Any ideas why I this is not working?

Also, one further thing I have noticed which I am sure is config related.When I telnet to the server port, and type for example \"this is a test\", on the monitor mode, I see \"< his is a\". I seem to have lost the first char, and only take 8 characters. If I type 1234567890 in a telnet, I get \"< 2345678 in the monitor mode screen. Any ideas what config I need to change for this?

I like to use lightwave RF.
Can I use / combine universal UCM with ETH03 and download UDP proticol as stated in the upgrade needed for lightwave RF comms?
Do i have to use ETH02 when ETH03 is now here?
