CM9001-ULT has 4 Alarm Partitions with 16 users. See the technical specifications for CM9001-ULT here http://www.cytech.biz/brochure/CM9001-ULT.html
The new model CM9001-EX has 8 partitions with 99 users. This is designed for larger offices and commercial properties. The Office Vocabulary is installed by dwfault instead of Residential. See the detailed specs here http://www.cytech.biz/brochure/CM9001-EX.html
In Comfigurator, select File > New > CM9001-EX
The hardware is exactly the same as the other CM9001 Models. Only the Firmware, File System, and Vocabulary is different.
The Technical Specifaction for CM9001-EX is attached

Comfigurator has a bug for the num ber of slaves, as of 20 August 2023. It does not allowe the number of Slaves to exceed 3. This can be fixed by updaing the dxefault configuration files.
Go to Files > Update Defaults. The default updater software will run. aftyer completion, close and restart Comfigurator. Now you should be able to add up to 5 Slaves

UPDATE DEFAULTS TAB
Can someone please explain how this is used (not how to use it!)
Apparently it is used by Cytech to fix firmware and bug issues prior to the release of new firmware.
We have use it when updating older systems as its easy to loose responses that are assigned through UCMS such as CBUS and KNX.
I suppose I'm confused as to why updates are not issued more regularly to Comfigurator - why add further complication by adding another spurious undocumented process

Update Defaults is used to update configuration files BEFORE the new version of Comfigurator is relaesed , NOT to fix Firmware bugs.

"Update Defaults is used to update configuration files"
To be clear .....When I press update defaults your software is altering the .cclx file NOT the comfigurator software ?
Bearing on mind that we are fastidious in our maintenance of file versions... If we press the update defaults then we are in effect updating the .cclx file version ....and as such would need to update the saved file version even though we have made NO discernable changes? ALSO would we be required to upload to comfort for the changes to take place ?
So we could have a scenario whereby the update defaults has been pressed and the ile not saved as an updated version - Engineer or customer comes back to the set up using the same cclx file and the same problem re-occurs ?

No, Update Defaults does not change any cclx file, or affect firmware, The deffault files may include the defalt templates, ie .cctx files, or the file specifying the maximum number of RIOs, IRIO UCMs in a comfort system. The recent file update was to do with the maximum RIOs in an Ultra file system

So how come it 'fixed' the problem of UCM programmed responses appearing in RED an not containing the code?

The change was just in the configuration files, not cclx

Configuration file ( or are thy called template files ?) - are you able to explain further please ...
Is there just one .cclx configuration file ( template file ) for each installation ?This is presumably stored in the main CPU ?What parameters does the file allow you change? Why can't you upload a configuration file offline? Is the .cclx file stored as part of a firmware upgrade?
I've been uploading the configuration file today and it appeared to improve / alter some aspects of the programming / responses - is his correct ?

Template files are .cctx. This is loaded when you open a new file by File > New. Each Comfort model has a cctx template that has the default stuff that you see when you start the new file. These cctx files are in the config folderThere are other config files like iomap which tells comfigurator things about reach model (which should not be altered)
This is presumably stored in the main CPU ?What parameters does the file allow you change?
cctx files are on the template, when you start a new file and save it as cclx. When you write the file to comfort then it is saved in Comfort.
Why can't you upload a configuration file offline? Is the .cclx file stored as part of a firmware upgrade?
Not sure what you are asking, Hopefully my previous answerts will assist

I dont know what you mean. what configuration files did you upload, upload to where
