In order to measure the voltage of a backup battery, leave the battery connected in place and switch off the mains power, so that the battery is on load. This will give the true battery voltage when used with Comfort and whatever devices are connected to the system.

DO NOT remove the battery to measure the voltage. This will not give a true indication of the battery voltage. Weak batteries will often show 12 Volts when not connected to any load.

Note that new batteries may give a Low Battery alarm when connected, unless the battery has been charged. if the battery has not been charged beforehand, ignore any Low Battery warning for 24 hours.
