An introduction to Cytech’s Comfort System can be viewed on this video
Comfort is a practical and affordable integrated Intruder Alarm and Home Automation system which besides providing security for the home, is able to link lighting and home appliances together as a Smart Home System which can be controlled from keypads, the telephone, touchscreens, Remote controls, the Internet or automatically by Time Programs
Intruder Alarm
Comfort is a full-featured Intruder Alarm System with dialer, telephone control, multiple security modes;
The security system can be armed to
AWAY mode (nobody at home),
NIGHT mode (at bedtime),
DAY mode (Doors and Windows armed), or
VACATION mode (lights and appliances activated in a semi-random manner).
In the event of any alarm, the system can dial to 8 telephone numbers including Central Monitoring Stations (a service which monitors alarm systems), and cellular phones to report the alarm. Each Alarm Type (Comfort has 31 preprogrammed Alarm Types like Intruder, Fire, Power Failure) can be programmed to dial to any combination of the 8 telephone numbers – for example, Intruder Alarm to Central Station and owner, Power Failure to the owner, Low Battery to the Installation company etc. The UCM/GSM allows dial-out via GSM and sending of text messages.
The Voice Station Intercom enables you to listen to sounds around up to 8 keypads in the home in the event of an alarm dial-out to your mobile phone. While you are listening on the phone, the Alarm Tracking feature automatically announces the location of the intruder as he is detected by motion sensors in the premises, e.g. “Kitchen Window, Living Room Movement, … “
You can dial in to your Comfort-enabled home from anywhere in the world to check if you left the lights or appliances on, or if you forgot to arm the security system, and to control your home.
Home Automation
Comfort can control lighting, home appliances, curtains, heating, air-conditioning, home entertainment- in fact almost anything in the home.
Comfort is X10-compatible, i.e. it is able to talk and listen to x10-compatible lights, switches and appliances on the mains power line. It is able to transmit infrared signals to any IR-enabled appliance like air-conditioning, TVs, sound systems, and projectors. Comfort has interfaces to popular lighting systems like C-Bus, EIB/KNX, Dynalite, Lutron and Rako as well as the Z-Wave wireless Home automation standard, offering users the maximum flexibility to use the most suitable combination of subsystems to suit their budget and taste.
A comprehensive Voice Menu (available in several languages) allows Comfort to be controlled from any remote or home telephone. The real time status of the lights and appliances is announced so you can check before switching anything on or off.
A handheld remote control like the Philips Pronto or the low cost RC01 can operate the whole house including the security system, even acting as a handheld keypad to arm and disarm the system.
Programmable Scene Switches in several styles (UK form factor) and colours with 4 scene buttons and indicators can be programmed for any function.

The Comfort Web-Server Module allows the whole system to be accessible from the Internet, allowing control and monitoring of status using a browser.

Local PC control is possible through WizComfort or third party software. With Comfort, home security and home automation is integrated together, making the home seem intelligent. For example, movement in the garden can cause an exterior light to be turned on and a warning message to be played on the outdoor speaker, and in Vacation Mode, the lights, TV and radio turn on at different but similar times each day.
Logic Engine
With Comfort, home security and home appliances can be linked together to act intelligently, using logic conditions (If/Then/Else) so that for example, when the system is armed to Away Mode, all the lights, air-conditioning, or other appliances can be switched off; or when you come home at night, the car porch light and main entrance light can be turned on automatically. This is the true benefit of Integration.
Scheduling
Time Programs can be programmed to control any combination or sequence of security, lighting and appliances.
Comfort knows sunrise and sunset times based on the location and can trigger programmed actions. The Real time clock is automatically adjusted for Daylight savings
Reminder Messages can be programmed to alert users at programmed times of day or days of week
Voicemail
Comfort includes an advanced Answering machine with 8 mailboxes for members of the family. Each user can access his/her messages by using their own PIN code in the home phone, remote phone or keypad. Users can also leave message for other family members on the keypad. While the message is being recorded by the caller, it can be heard on the keypad, and the call can be answered if desired.
The New Message LED indicator lights up when there are new messages in the system. Pressing a button tells who the new messages are for. New messages for each user can be programmed to cause a dial-out to their assigned telephone number to allow the message to be heard. Up to 10 minutes of messages can be saved in the message memory. However, you never have to erase old messages because when the memory is full, and a new message is to be recorded, the system automatically erases the oldest saved message. A new message becomes a saved message once it has been heard.
Door Station Intercom
The Door Station rings the home phones when a visitor presses the doorbell, allowing you to talk to the visitor from any phone, and to open the door or gate for the visitor. When no one is at home and the security is armed to Away Mode, the system can dial to your mobile phone to let you talk to the visitor just like you were at home, and allows you to open the door for friends, delivery staff or hired help. This can also deter prowlers checking for unoccupied homes.

Remote Control
Comfort can be controlled by a handheld infrared remote control, allowing you to control any device which is connected to the system. Select one of 12 “Room” keys, followed by one of 4 operation keys to control devices in the selected room. 16 Scene buttons activate preprogrammed scenes like “Bedtime” to switch off all downstairs lights and switch on the garden light, “Movie” to lower the projection screen and turn on the projector and other equipment, “Wake Up” to turn on the bath heating, the kettle, and the radio. There is a keypad emulation mode which acts as a handheld keypad, allowing you to arm the security system or disarm using your PIN code. Pressing 2 special buttons simultaneously causes a Panic Alarm which sounds the siren and dials for help.
Comfort can also be controlled by a learning remote control like the Philips Pronto. The Pronto 9300, 9400, 9600, 9800 models are able to control and see status in Comfort using Prontoscript
